Shit is so out of control in society. Every class in my kids highschool rocks the Pride flag but not the USA flag. I get it= it's rebellious. Diversity and family-friendly pride events are great. Minors being exposed to “adult” behavior/entertainment is where a line needs to be drawn. Let’s not pretend there isn’t some element of kink, nudity, twerking, etc. at (many) pride events.

People who don’t make their sex preference their entire identity can’t/don’t, and will never relate. It’s not your preferences that people detest; it’s the obsession. Keep it to yourself and you will never have a problem. The reaction you get is 100% correlative to your seeming inability to do so. Imagine the irrepressible urge to have everybody know your sex business so you can claim to be “oppressed” when they don’t give a shit. I’m from Canada where same-sex activity has been legal since 1969, gay marriage has been legal since 2005, and equality was hardwired in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms in 1982. The LGBT are 100% not oppressed where I’m from. Anybody expecting approval for who they fuck needs to move somewhere the aforementioned is not guaranteed them to understand what real oppression truly is.

It’s time we remember that pride is one of the 7 deadly sins! Celebrating LGBTQ ABC XYZ month is tripling down with pride, lust and envy. Do not encourage this behavior and in fact we should stand up and speak out against all of it. I mean really speak out… when you encounter it, be direct and say something like “I don’t support you/this” “You are / This is ridiculous” “Your actions/symbols/words/social media is very offensive to me” … Remember that words are powerful and we can’t let these (insert word here) win. Remember, as Americans everyone has a right to live how we want to live without being in fear of others. These people can do as they please but they don’t need to flaunt it to the world or be celebrated for something as simple as sexuality. Apples to oranges comparison. No one attending a Greek food festival or celebrating Spanish heritage demands that others validate & celebrate them 24/7 for a month. Pride festivals and parades have a ton of sexuality! I’m cool with it, what I’m not cool with is children seeing anything sexual regardless of sexual orientation. I have seen Pride gatherings that were not sexual, but NYC Pride is not for children. There are more dildos and bondage than 16 sex shops combined, on top of blatant nudity. You’re saying you’re cool with any culture or community having a festival or parade to celebrate their values and beliefs… if a bunch of straight people had a parade with dildos and bondage not only would you freak out, they’d all be arrested for indecent exposure, and if kids were attending, they would also be arrested for child endangerment. Insurance should be "a la carte". I pay a crap ton of money each month for things I'll never use. My insurance would cover IVF. I believe you get 3 tries. I've never wanted children so I have no need for IVF. I wish I could give the service to someone who needs it... Since I've paid for it for years. Insurance is a rip off.
