Great learning video.
Lol uke in aikido never grab like that!!!
True bro
what the hell is that clicking sound? it's really disturbing.
My dear, Saito Sensei was not inspired by anyone. He codified and called 31 no jo kata and 13 no jo kata the only 2 kata that founders created (while the founder was teaching, under his supervision). You can watch these kata on yotube by Saito Sensei, who was uchideshi of the founder for more 24 years...
That is Aikido. It is the 22 count Jo Kata by Tohei Sensei. Also known as the "Shooting Star" kata. It is a rendition of the late Saito Sensei's 20 count Jo Suburi. Many schools use this as their first in the series. Often for sankyu testing. Others schools state there are only 2 katas as they came from the teaching of The Founder. They only recognize 13 &31 count kata.
Oops. Posted that one 2x. Anyway, most martial arts are nothing but modern day derivatives. If you ain't practicing a primitive jiu jitsu or kempo, you are into the modern realm. That means judo, karate, Aikido, kendo, etc. All complete with their syllabus, katas, kumite, kihon, tradition, uniforms and such. No need to get your panties in a knot about details. You learn one kata well and that is all you need. Make sure you learn the real applications or it is nothing but a dance... to paraphrase the late Funakoshi Sensei.
@@badbrad8918 I disagree. Details are very important. Any slight deviation from the original teaching can end up diluting the proper technique and create misunderstanding - believe me I can see it everywhere particularly in Jo kata and form, the demonstration above is a classic example and is not Aiki-jo.
witam, uczę się i mam nadzieję że mistrz pokazuje ... :)
I think you are just a clown. It seems to me it's very easy for you to do these techniques, but your uke is too condescending, If she were strong you couldn't to do that
Why did you call him a clown you skinny fuck
@@walidhmd do you practice aikido like him? Let grab from a strong man, please let’s try!
porco...... mammamao
What an amazing martial art!
31 no jo kata is not like this. You are wrong. Why do you make a clip about these wrong movements? I can't understand.......... Very sad. 😔😔😔😔😔
You shouldn't to teach these wrong movements. You created a new kata.
Maybe its new but that does not mean that its bad
+Daniel Theunknow you did not understand: your kata is useless, ineffective, without power, stupid and bad. Who is your sensei?
Besides of him i aint got no sensei i do it on my own, and how dare you to say that its Stupid, bad, ineffective useless etc? Who are you anyway? And how can you tell that it`s useless? You can use the movements to defend yourself.
+Daniel Theunknow really? Do you think you can use your useless movements for self defense? AhahahHahahah.....take a look at morihiro saito sensei.....
+Daniel Theunknow number four and eight are very very useless and stupid...
Ok stop please I can not to watch you, you are very bad
Che stronzata
Jo kata 1? Hahahahahaha, don't exist it. There are two kata (in aikido way), 13 no jo kata and 31 no jo kata, codified by the founder. This is your personal creation and you shouldn't to teach. Your strikes are not correct. Very bad performance...
well its not his own personal creation, cause search it on the internet dumb ass there are people all over the world doing it
+The Mining Ginger and so? If there are many people who practice that stupid kata, is he able to do it? I repeat: there are TWO kata, codified from the founder, why do we should to be another one? Why? If the founder created TWO kata, maybe there is a reason.
That's not true, idk how is aikido where you learned it or in Which country but Ik there are:kata 1,kata 2,kata 3, kata 4,kata 5.this one doesn't look similar at all with kata 1 ik but also there are more versions so you shouldn't talk if ur not a sensei I guess, even if you are you can't be sure.
doesnt exsist yet here it is.. This was taught by Tohei Sensei, aikido's first 10th dan. Take a look at aikido history there is a lot more to it than the Aikikai would have you believe.
@@Backlashed Here it is created by somebody obviously lacking knowledge of the Ai-Ki jo. JUst because hes a 10Dan in Aikido doesnt mean he knows how to use the jo correctly, and i shows believe me.
I just started learning some of the basic movements I like the pace of the video. Thanks for posting it!
That is not aikido. That is an unknow creation...

You a new club in town? I have not heard of you all before? I teach at the Austin Budokan.
It's been 5 or 6 years since I was able to do Aikido, but I still remember this kata. And It explains why I hold my boken for Kendo the way I do. Thanks! ^_^
