There was a definite decline in quality and design from the original wave. By the time we got from Hound to Rodimus Prime it was game over until modern day figures. I didn't care as a kid but looking back now you can see where they went wrong. I'd say the 3rd series.

If you don't want to count Scramble City as a bridge between Season 2 and the movie then these commercials will help. Count Ulta Magnus attack the Combaticons and the battlechargers commercials. Wth the Ultra Magnus one Prime is on Cybertron and Magnus is in command in his absence at the ark!👍👍 With the battlechargers they are collecting energon cubes when Magnus ran those over. This is the ONLY time we see Runabout and Runamuck in vehicle mode in the cartoon animation🤓

They should've included Hot Rod,Kup,Blurr,Cyclonus and Scourge with the Target Masters Transformers toy line as they became Target Masters too in the 3 part episode 'Rebirth' and with the HeadMasters I wish they could've included Arcee and Daniel as they were HeadMasters too.

My first EVER Transformer was Cromedrome, from when I was 3 or 4 back around 987 or 1988. The reason why I got one due to my (then) hyper fixation (I have HFA) with cars and transport. Now I still like cars and the like, but I'm now more into history and heroes (super and otherwise) plus I enjoying looking into their deeper aspects of the cultures surrounding them and the thinking that all of their creators had/have with regards to their characters and stories. And yes, and it goes without saying, I like G1 and G2 TF toys and media, chiefly the Marvel Comics stuff. For reasons that should be as clear as glass to any (Classic) Marvel fan, like me.... Till All are One

Whoever owned some of these transformer toys , Post a comment because I used to have one of the Headmaster Decepticons known as SnapDragon back in 1987 during the time when I’d gotten lucky and found 20$ on the ground then heading to the former Woolworth department store where these toys once sold over 30 years ago .

How the mighty have fallen.... Hot Rod used to lead the Autobots as Rodimus Prime but then he got jobbed out to the Duocon Flywheels.

The more I watch these commercials, the more I'm convinced that there were originally meant to have two renditions of the Transformers theme: the Autobot motif (the exclusive track with female vocals which definitely sounds heroic) and the Decepticon motif (the one we often hear ALL THE TIME in the Seasons 3 and 4 intros, hence its more disconcerting and sinister atmosphere). What do you think?
