The amp still works, with some help from electronic cleaner, sorry about the noise in the video, probably due to AC unit running. It's a 2 tube 12AX7 pre-amp section with a solid state amplification system.

Love others..life is short! This tune is just is what it was. Just playing around with the pedals, and they are exaggerated to bring them out. Whatever..is what it was..me having fun trying something!

@@slide8570 Dig! Oh, and I've always wanted one of those tele-baritones.😁(Sounds sweet in your hands, too!) My co-writer is starting to get pretty handy with a six string bass he's attached himself to, so... It might be a cool mix with a bari. 🤔 Cheers!

Amazon is a distributor doesn’t anyone understand that, they don’t pack they deliver whatever the OEM has.
Thanks for that response. I know I blamed Amazon for the content arriving as it did, but it was shipped by an outside source. I just want people to know what they might be receiving if buying from Amazon. A lot of people buy guitars online these day's as many music stores went by the wayside long ago, the point of the video that I shared, was to make people aware of what you buy isn't always what you get. I also want people to understand quality control..as in the messed up tuner etc. Years ago, you could walk into a music store, in most towns, and play an instrument, today we, as a people tend to buy online. I'm trying to help people understand that even if it's not perfect, the thing you bought online, can be made to suit your needs. The OEM who shipped the guitar with all of it's imperfections..there you go. Quality vs quantity.
@@slide8570 you are right and it does show some of the vendors don’t care. Even though Amazon doesn’t pack it they should have criteria for acceptable shipping packages from their vendors.
Check out the s670...
I will man..but I'm still trying to get this thing to "my" standards of how I want this thing to play! It's a good guitar..but man, the quality control that day sucked!
6:20 - don’t tighten the springs, loosening the strings will be more than enough to pull the bridge back into the block., also, I would be careful not to damage the finish at the rear of the route with that block, I never use a block., I have the bar attached, and stuff a rag under the trem, it’s always worked fine for me, and no damage.
Thanks for the tip. I built a shim to go between the bridge block and the body in between the springs so I won't have to block the bridge at the top of the body. Appreciate the information though!!
I built something new that is not on the market but would alleviate the need anything between the bridge and the finish. It works great. And I may share that in the next video. In the meantime I ordered some locking tuners to put on this guitar, and some other things as well. I'm a tinkerer!
I have 4 Ibanez guitar 1 I've had since 1985, and I love them all
I had a Japanese model from the 90's that was a great guitar! I sold it for what I paid for it. I missed that guitar and bought the one you see in the video..and you can see why I might have been a little disappointed with Ibanez. I'll make it work, and it's a nice guitar, just not built to the standard that I would expect from Ibanez.
I'm still shaking my head when people complain about the strings that come on a guitar. It's literally the first thing I get rid of because you have no idea how long they have been sitting there. I had a an S470 and it was a pleasure to play. No issues. I'll admit that tuner offset is a huge faux-pas. Terrible QC on that one.
Exactly..get rid of them! But a lot of people don't know that..especially beginners. I had an RG470 back in the early 90's, made in Japan, perfect out of the box. But the shipping and QC on this one sucked. I have no idea what wage these people make when they made it. So, I take that into consideration. I'll fix it the way I want it. I just want people to be aware of what they 'might' receive if they buy one. Thanks for the comment.
I used to manage a music store back in the 90's and sold a lot of guitars. I made sure they had new strings, set up properly, etc. Today, most guitars, like the one you saw in the video, are purchased online, you don't get to see it, you don't get to play it, you don't get to hear it..you just hope it will meet your expectations. It is what it is..just a random guitar bought online to play and figure out! I have fun doing that.
Unfortunately; like most musical instruments these days, guitars are a crapshoot at $1500. The guitar market now wants $2000+ for makers to even give you a case! The hobby market, in general, has become such a ripoff and buyers do the same thing by offering $250 for your used Les Paul.
I advise everyone to NEVER buy any guitar they haven't played in person so you can see and hear what you're getting. Too much QC issue potential
Don't use a fisheye lens!
I just use what I have. Just a little gopro type camera.
Just a side note Vince..I made this video to maybe help someone else. I didn't make it to meet some kind of video standard. Maybe you can do that. I use what I have and learn as I go..you do you.
@@slide8570Dude! At least pony up twenty bucks for a tripod, to steady the jerky movement. I had to stop the video midpoint to take a Benadryl, as I was getting dizzy!!! Not trying to be a dick, just a suggestion to (hopefully) improve the quality of your content…
@@suzukiyesteryear Yeah..sorry! I have a tripod but decided to shoot by hand as it was just faster.
@@slide8570 No worries, mate! Much like perfecting guitars, so goes video production skills…
Another rabbit hole for me to rundown!
Thanks!
Nice what's the tuning of baritone anyways. I've never really understood baritone.
Thanks. I'm using an open C tuning but this is the description I got from google as far as tuning : While no standard tuning has been established for baritone guitars, popular tunings for the instrument are: a perfect fourth lower than a standard guitar (B1-E2-A2-D3-F♯3-B3), a perfect fifth lower (A1-D2-G2-C3-E3-A3), or a major third lower (C2-F2-B♭2-E♭3-G3-C4).
Correction: I was tuned down to B flat open.

Amps, pedals ?
I'm trying to remember how I recorded that! I think it was the middle pickup, it was an old Line6pod with compression turned on ran to my old TubeWorks amp, with outboard reverb, and maybe some delay added. Thanks!
Excelent, bridge pickup?
I also think I used tremolo on that tune.
Great sound. Great chops.
Thanks!

Excellent tone…. Nicely done. I also like how you thought outside the box and chased Stevie’s tone (and did a damn good job) without the typical fender Strat. Proof it’s not just the gear. Its mainly the hands and knowing how to dial in the tools you’ve got. I tip my hat to you, sir. - smack from Houston, TX
Thank you Smack! I appreciate your comment!
As an interesting side note, maybe, SRV used 13 gauge strings. I just used 08 to 38 gauge because it's easier for me to play. That probably won't matter to anyone really but me. Thanks again for the kind comment!
Beautiful And yes, you do!
Thanks my friend!

My first Guitar was a brand new 1988 Kramer Aerostar. The neck is on a different body now. Very comfortable.
Really nice necks on those guitars! I like the ebony fret board.
A similar neck profile, that I like, is the EVH Wolfgang.
I'm sure there's a little Metallica lick in there. Nice!
I don't know..I don't listen to Metallica..so maybe accidentally? lol Thanks!
Exactly what I needed. Reminds you of a comfortable, familiar place from a long time ago that you had to let go of. I love the progression from :18 to :22 and the accent on :14. Really fluid, dynamic, soulful playing. So much fun. Sounds like water. Wish it was 10 minutes longer haha! These are great, please keep posting these. I imagine they could be a song if combined. Thanks brother! Play loud my friend :)!
I'd love to be able to play anything on a whim like this. Nice tone yet again.
Thanks Brendan!
Thanks again my friend. I know tone is subjective to everyone. I took guitar lessons from some old Italian guy when I was about 12, his name was Al, and he always told me "Sing when you play!", unfortunately I have the bad habit of humming when I play..but I try to get the tone of what my voice sounds like, or might sound like if played through a guitar. If that makes sense. Jeff Beck was the master of making a guitar have a vocal quality to it. I checked out your channel and watched the one vid you had posted..and if I did what your kiddo did, I'm assuming, I'd bust my neck! Nice drop-in on the skateboard. Play on my friend.
@@slide8570 hi cheers I've been thinking of posting some skating stuff of my boys and myself as my phone is getting filled up with all these short clips. Gotta get back to playing guitar too. Lifes so busy.
