How Heat Treatment works ? The basic concept of Heat Treatment #engineering #heattreating
Every metal or alloy is made out of atoms and microstructures. These micro structure plays a very crucial part in mechanical properties of metal. Properties like strength , Ductility, brittleness, Hardness , toughness, strength, machinability and weldability . Now, every metal or alloys when it is manufactured it gets a metal structure based on how it is cooled.
It is the main reason behind every mechanical properties of metal.
Now we will mainly discuss steel as most of the metal that we use in heat treatment is steel.
As soon as man kind started making weapons and tools of steel we started using heat treatment. In anciant time when blacksmith started making steel they realized when we h...

somebody please tell me how for a 90 degree fittings or u shaped fitting how the bend deduction or how to know which length of flat bar is to be taken . in case of mild steel of thickness 4mm, 5mm & 6mm . is there any software or something ? (would appreciate if someone answer :) )😀
Hi yes. Everything can be calculated in all the cad softwares I have used Auto cad , solid works and solidedge they all have that option.

I think you need a bit more polish on your editing, quite a bit. It might be a good idea to watch a few more "how it's made" videos while you edit so you know where the bar is. Clean up lens reflections. Dimmer or lower contract monitors while recording can help. Lose some stiffness, pretend you are talking to a bunch of puppies or something. I would definitely make Hindi or Urdu alternates, views are views, even if split. Your pig iron sounds like big iron, but that comes with practice and time. It isn't bad.
Hey mate thanks for feedback. I just channel is old but all the editing is from phone and n9t a fancy studio. But definitely, i will work on it.
@@Metalcut1412 Yeah, it takes awhile to get there. Keep at it.

Very well done and informative video. Thank you for doing this. I have not heard the term pig iron since my father was still alive.
Thanks mate ...
These are metric units only? Could it be converted? Or we cannot use it with imperial?
Unfortunately you can not but you can convert it into metric to find the K factor because K factor will be a constant
TL;DR; You can't bend certain materials in an 90 Degree angle, because that materials will get fissues because of inner stress. So you will have to bend it in a radius. This radius depends on thickness and material type. As usual you don't need to experiement to find that special radius. Go and buy a book about metal work :)
You are right my friend...for example you can not bend lead (pb) in press break. You need mannual bender . But most of thw sheet metal product would be Ms,Ss or Ali. That can be bent using this method.
how to buy it
Go to dmetalart.company.site/products/K-Factor-Calculation-p543476103 and use 75%-FEB24 code while checking out
Thanks for making it so easy
Hey let me know if you want to buy that excel file i will give you a special one time use code for that
Not made by steel? Planes, my toothbrush, phone can done almost without steel, just motor needs some magnetical.
In a way they may not be a product of steel but indirectly they are made by steel. Conveyer systems. Extrusion and die making for your toothbrush, processing plants for those phones and pleases do have steel in the chairs and controls , wheels etc. Let me know what you think.
This isn't the complete process, then. You've certainly earned a like and a sub from me, but might I suggest a change to the video title? Perhaps something like "Steel Creation: The Complete Process - Part One" or something to that effect will be more appropriate. I've wondered for years how steel is made, even though I've welded and done metal working for many years now. Thanks for the info and I look forward to your next video! 😊

is it a neutral axis offset ...?(the one u told us to comment)
is it a neutral axis offset ...?(the one u told us to comment)
It's a ratio to nutral axis to thickenss
@@Metalcut1412 In the sense is that neutral axis appears at exact half of thickness or it is offset from centre ??
@@akshaytison271 It is bit offset. depending on material thickness and material type. Your K factor should never be more than 0.5. which means your neutral axis will always be offset. Most likely towards inside edge of folding.
Hello, iron is formed in massive stars where the temperature and pressure in the core are high enough to allow fusion of silicium (around 3 billion degrees). This is really far from the core temperature of our sun (around 15 million degrees) which only allows it to fuse hydrogen into helium and carbon, nitrogen and oxygen (via the CNO cycle). Our sun is not able to form iron and even if it were, the iron we have on Earth would not come from the Sun, as it would stay in the core of the star until its death. All the elements we have on Earth are from previous massive stars that do not exist anymore but that fed the molecular cloud from which our solar system is born.
Be proud and humbled, knowing that you are one of the 8 billion star killers living on Earth. (iron technically can destroy a star)
True...
Iron is also thecnicly the star killer
Yes you r right
Made in a star not the sun lol
Very wrong*
Hi look further into how iron is created
@@Metalcut1412 Iron is formed by stellar nucleosynthesis in massive stars. The sun is not massive enough to allow nuclear fusion until iron. And even if it was the case, the iron would remain inside the sun until it dies. So there is absolutely no way the iron we have on earth comes from the sun. It was already there before the solar system was born. Produced and released by -now dead- massive stars in the neighborhood of the molecular cloud from which the SS formed.
@@Metalcut1412Hello, I've already done it. Iron is formed in massive stars where the temperature and pressure in the core are high enough to allow fusion of silicium (around 3 billion degrees). This is really far from the core temperature of our sun (around 15 million degrees) which only allows it to fuse hydrogen into helium and carbon, nitrogen and oxygen (via the CNO cycle). All the elements we have on Earth are from previous -massive- stars that do not exist anymore but that fed the molecular cloud from which our solar system is born.
Wrong
I don’t think so random ass person
Well, google “planet formation”. It came from other, younger, stars.
Also iron can be formed only in massive stars (at least 8 solar masses), the sun essentially forms helium, carbon, nitrogen and oxygen
No actuallly our sun can go all the way till nickel .
Jey google iron formation and atom formation
iron sent to earth from elsewhere for our benefit
I would not say that, It was not sent. It was created by a scientific process called fusion . A process of creating new nucleus. It is on earth and it is on Sun too where there is no human.
@@Metalcut1412 a star far larger than our own had to go nova and that ejected matter had to have a trajectory to what would become our star system and sun. Sent here for our benefit.
Naah I would say we are just on this star because there are favorable conditions for us to strive.

😂😂😂😂 melting point of iron is? The temperature in the middle of the earth is? That's right higher than the melting point of iron so it's bollocks
Hi Mate, melting point of iron is 1,538 °C but this video is just a general overview of how metal is extracted from the earth. My next video will be on how Iron forms in universe . I will explain my point about earth in next comment.
What is says in video is because iron is a heavier metal than other metals it is found more towards the center of the earth. while earth crust was in making. Have a look of what's in the inner core of earth ? Iron Nickel alloy are in the innermost part of the core. earthscience.stackexchange.com/questions/562/why-is-earths-inner-core-made-of-an-iron-nickel-alloy?rq=1
The manufacturing company i use for sheetmetal only change the bottom v all the top tools are 1mm raduis how do i know what i must put in my inventor for inside raduis
First of all 1.ask them for inside radius for all V which they can get from their tooling provider. 2. Decide what Ir you want to use. Based on the V. 3. Ask your company about correct K factor chart. Normally, if company uses standard companies like amada or trumph or bysoft they woul first put your parts through theire press break program which should automatically do the adjustments.
You should use theire Ir to get a perfect flat pattern
@@Metalcut1412 so i must put in 1mm raduis on all my parts
No different bottom V will give you different IR. So put that IR that V gives you . Ideally bottom V will be 8Xthickness. then check how much IR that V gives you to your thickness in Force chart diagram.
I like it
