The bypass did eliminate reflux for me. I still get heartburn from time to time if I eat something spicy. My dr told me that is normal. But reflux is now gone

So for me it was actually a very quick recovery. I work from home so I didn't need to go back to work. I'd says after about a week I felt pretty much ok. I was able to relax and recover at home calmly and stress free. I started working about 2 days after surgery from my bed

@@readychangeMrsNunez Thank you, my recovery process is going slower than expected (I suspect it's related to my age and the fact that my conversion surgery was according to my surgeon complicated)

@@jaimiedillard oh no. Just remember everyone had their own way of recovery I'm sure you will be just fine.

I am absorbing all vitamins except for iron. I am severely anemic. I am getting set up to get iron infusions. I still get some heartburn but no reflux at all. I did not think to look at other procedures for reflux. I just wanted relief asap.

It was slow I'm about 10 months post and lost 20lbs but I was not trying to lose more weight I had made it to my Dr's goal for me. My doctor told me I might not lose anything

My doctor never told me that I may not never lose no weight with the revision wow I never knew that My whole point of getting it was because I gain more weight from my sleeve

@@Imjustbeingmeashley well everyone is different. I didn't get mine for weight loss I got it because of complications from GERD. I think it all depends on the reasons and how much weight you need to lose

Yay I'm so happy for you! It will definitely improve your quality of life for sure. I didn't even notice I wasn't feeling that constant burn until my surgeon asked if the heartburn was gone. I was like omg I don't have heartburn. Took a while to get use to since I was suffering for a while with heartburn and acid reflux

Yes that is what I was told. The stomach becomes a smaller pouch and most of it is then bypassed.

Omg yes I need carbs. There is no need to be scared of them just be mindful of how much you eat and what foods you are getting them from.

I left the next day at like 11 so i don't think i was there more than 24hrs

At first I didn't either but once I got passed the soft foods stage I do feel a restriction kind of like in the beginning of the VSG. Im doing about 2 to 3 oz of solid food and 4 oz of liquid like soup or oatmeal. Have you had dumping yet?

No problem! Just hope my videos help others. It is normal to feel nervous it is a forever change. You definitely have to be mentally committed to changing your eating habits. The surgery is a tool to help but eating healthy is whats going to make you successful. It was definitely the best decision I ever made and would go through all of it all over again. I will just give you one piece of advice if you have acid reflux or gerd go with the bypass. That was my one mistake

@@Castcire mix some crystal light in it i also drank vitamin water and diet snappel to help get liquids in. And i don't know about what your diet plan says but I was able to drink milk

Yes unfortunately I do have loose skin on my inner thighs stomach and arms

I am feeling a bit better. Feeling more soreness than pain but still feeling empty
