Here is an idea for people who have the smaller Pool 8 sized board but would like to play a snooker-like game. The board would be too crowded with all the necessary counters (21 plus striker) so this idea takes the red counters down from 15 to 9, and then combines the six colours into the central triangle arrangement. Do you use any carom / magic powder or just the table as it comes?
Hi there - I do use a sprinkling of the sample powder that came with the board (which is acrylic based I believe). There’s a lot of opinions online that all powders are bad news (especially the Teflon based ones) so I am keen to see if there is a better alternative.
This variant looks fun! I will play it when my board arrives. You posed a question about the placement of colored discs after potting them. I'd try to put them where they were in the original rack position.

That’s a good question. I think they are both great for different things. Space-wise the Pool 8 is so handy to tuck away but the larger playing surface is great with the main board especially with the extra counters for the full Carrooka game. If you have the space I would lean towards the larger as you have the best of both worlds (pool is super fun on there too). Good luck with your purchase, I feel confident you won’t regret it. 😀 🎱

Hi, I put a bit of powder on today and yes a lot better. It’s not as easy as it looks but having lots of fun with it.
Shot 30 should have gone in!!
If it had then it would have been worthy of a slo-mo replay!!
