I understand the frustration no one enjoys anyone who over stays or isn't contributing America is a lost country with no identity as much u want to argue it's true I get the delivery guy but seriously if u can give your time to move to another country learning their language shouldn't be that hard when I travel to other country I always or most of the people learn the basic words like “hello, sorry, how r u, etc” from the video the delivery guy had ego issue he kept talking in his language knowing it was triggering the guy and recorded it because that's how u play with other people.

I myself, would never go into a country that I am not originally from- that also speaks a language that I do not speak, and then expect them (that country) to change their entire way of life to adapt to my needs,. the foreigner. If I'm unable to speak to you- then I'm just not going to speak and I'll learn how to survive without the communication. I wouldn't demand changes, demand my language to be added to your products (so I can read them),. If I wanted to move to Mexico, I'd learn Spanish- either before I went, or after I arrived... I wouldn't demand every store owner to translate, to speak my language instead of theirs,. or to add new labeling to all products to include my new language..

The way the restaurant owner dealt with this is so shitty. The US doesn’t even have an official language and other countries teach their kids to learn 2 or more languages to accommodate while it’s only mandatory in highschool for atleast 2 years and you’ll probably forget all your learning if you aren’t serious in it. I mean if you’re going to live in a country with a language you don’t speak, then you need to learn even a little of the language, but that does not make the owner right. This could’ve been dealt with so differently, he just let his anger get ahead of him.

Interesting, when American expats move to a different country. They don’t ask them to speak their language.but then again on my selfish side I kind of agree that before you get a gig job you should know English. Or else you can’t sign in. Then again since I’m uncommon nowadays because i speak English and got the skills of conversation. I get all the good tips on Uber. Do you know the 2nd biggest complaint about Americans who travel overseas? The FACT that we only know 1 language and fully expect people in OTHER COUNTRIES to know English. So, when people flood this country, what do you think happens to communication when there are SEVERAL different languages, and not a single common language? Again, the way this guy went about it is disgusting. But wanting and needing a common language is not wrong. Just ask people from other countries how much they HATE that Americans can't speak their language, but fully expect them to know English... It is a major point of contention.

Why should they learn English when the US government is giving everything to them for free, at taxpayer expense?

There is nothing inappropriate about needing a common language. Without it society falls apart. We share common values as a country and if you want to be a part of it it is your duty to assimilate. Period. Nothing racist or malicious about it. If you are offended then you lack intelligence.

Well maybe he's just fled a war torn country like argentina or haiti and he is currently learning english but also has 2 jobs to afford to live in a safe'ish' country, and doesnt have time for english classes everyday or even income for english classes everyday, cos he feels rsponsibile for his 7 siblings that his parents couldnt afford and now he has to provide for them even though he never made the decision to have more kids than he can handle lol.
