Dan, next time you bake a sugar cream pie, you should use a deep dish frozen pie shell from the grocery store. You won't have the overspill when it bakes.

Thanks for the review! This is useful, because there are so many different variants of this pad that Nemo has released that it's hard to find the correct info. Do you have a source on the 1.6 R-value? I cannot find any official Nemo pages for this pad (it's easier to find info on the insulated version, for whatever reason).

Do you think I would have any problem with taking this on as my carry on in an airport?

Thank you for sharing your experience with the Hoosier Sugar Cream Pie recipe! I'm getting ready to attempt my first try at making one soon! I have so many different recipes, it's hard to choose which one to try first! My only suggestion is that I would not recommend using a graham cracker crust for baking a pie in the oven for an hour - as with this sugar cream pie recipe. My understanding is that graham cracker crusts are typically used for chilled pies or cheesecakes. Using a regular pastry crust (made with butter, flour, salt & water) is probably better for this recipe. Good job on the video!

With a 1:16 HM time the speed is definitely there. Maybe the Pfitz 18/70 would have been a better fit for you. It gives more time to work on your endurance. I think that with the right training a sub 2:45 would be a realistic goal for you.

I love your vibe it helps if you freeze the stick of butter 20-30 minutes and than I’ll grate it into my flour mixture but I’m new to this condensed milk method so I’m making mine as I’m watching you. I love the way your pumpkin pie turned out! Keep being you - love your energy!

If you use the seat in the winter on the snow in wet leaves or dirt go for the larger z seat. Your dry but will thank you. I use it for hunting in the worst of weather, it’s worth the extra $.

I just bought the 35 but probably won't get a chance to use it until next spring. The thing is you don't even need a quilt to do this and I've been doing it with my sleeping bags for a long time because I'm a side sleeper who cannot fall asleep on my back or if I'm wound up in something as tends to happen when you roll around in a zipped up sleeping bag. The 35 was on sale for $147 and I had a bunch of reward points built up, so I went ahead and bought it for a massive weight and pack size reduction versus what I'm using now with a similar temp rating, which is a military surplus bag with synthetic Primaloft insulation. That's a great bag and pretty light and squishy for a synthetic, but the Nitro is lighter by pounds and way more compressible. I already know it's going to have that funky duck down smell just like my 20f Sierra bag, but I don't really care about that.

I'm doing the 5K Plan from Pfitz in the Faster Road Racing book. 50-55 mpw, more than I did for marathon training, but I really feel the gains.

If the vortex sack could be sealed you could use it for your legs or as a pillow.
