If you have a Texas Power Paddle for your Lynx then you likely need a new place to mount your fish finder sonar. If you don't use the power pole slot, then you can mount your sonar here for hassle free setup when you go fishing. No more side arm to deploy/setup. How'd you setup your downrigger on the hobie lynx?
@@bsasaki92 hobie sells a rail mount with a blank plate. I drilled holes to mount some starboard to it and then mounted a Scotty 1060 to the starboard. I also use a Scotty swivel mount and have cut the arm shorter on the Scotty 1060. It has some wobble and play when reeling up but I just reel up gently and it’s been working for about 2 years now. I keep meaning to design a better mount but this has been good enough so I haven’t messed with it yet.
Very cool! Congratulations on your PB! How long ago was this? There was still snow on the mountain. Did it just snow up in Tahoe?

Bummer you didn't find them at UVR, It can be a tough nut to crack. But it is fun to explore a new lake. Kinda sad Kokanee season is almost over. It looked like you caught some Kokes on my Artic Fox fly. Tight lines Cliff!
@@Phishrman yeah. I only had a few hours in the afternoon and the wind picked up. Also water level was super low so I suspect they went to a deeper part of the lake. I caught on artic fox until I broke it. Then orange crush and then pink panther.

Where are you from in So Cali? I was in Palm Springs for 6 months or so back in 2023, I fish Northern Wisconsin all the time for Musky, glad you were able to make the trip, CONGRATS ON YOUR GIANT CATCH!!! Gotta love the fish of 10,000 cast

What about side imaging, does this mount effect the image received? I have a Humminbird with mega side imaging
It doesn’t interfere with the side imaging. There is a version for every hummingbird model available
does this positioning affect the quality of the imaging at all? thinking of buying one for mine.
The mount doesn’t effect sonar qty at all.
