I.can highly recommend using WSL in Windows.

I own the same phone, and mainly bought for the same reason. In my case I'm not addicted to social media, but instead I like to use phone because I like technology. One other trick I could suggest is to install a minimal launcher. I personally use Olauncher.

I use Helix, it's the best, shame it's not available during exams but vim is ok too.

In 2:40, I use Vimium too, you don't need to disable vimium to interact with the page. Vimium is also modal so you only have to enter "INSERT" mode by pressing 'i'. Same as vim, then press ESC to return to NORMAL mode. Hope this helps.
