Does not look like marble. There's some resemblance from far but upon closer look it looks nothing like marble. what about this? ruclips.net/video/1ObpVazmiQE/видео.html

You could probably use a goose feather or some other large bird feather.

Thanks so much for the tips and tricks! I feel like I do better when I know how it's formed naturally. As I paint I can imagine all the elements and how they would effect the stone. This has given me more confidence. Thanks again!

I'm thinking bout painting my cement wall in my back yard that way. I'm gonna practice first. I wonder is there such thing as granite painting, the linty color pattern. I have my dinner-room and outer hallway walls in the old world parchment painting design.

I don't think limestone can be melted. At least not by itself. If you apply too much heat on it it will turn to powder

Very nice. You likely know about Thomas Kershaw (1818-1898), but viewers of your video might be interested in undertaking some research on this master of scumble and glaze. Examples of his faux marbre and faux bois work abounds on the web. When in London, visit his Great Exposition (1851) faux marbre panels, now at the V & A. Jaw-dropping work. Here's a taste: i1.wp.com/www.carltonhobbs.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/Carlton-Hobbs-Kershaw-2.jpg
