also i have another tip. turn off your car, open up the hood, disconnet both the positive and negative cables from the battery, touch both of the cables together a few times, what that does it resets everything. Reconnect the cables back to the battery and see if that works. Also do a load test on the battery. take it to autozone or advance auto parts they will do it for free

Hey listen everyone, i have had nothing but a nightmare with my infotainment system, got a new one install, also the radio and the antenna and still giving me issues, well the last time i went to the dealership a few days ago they order me a new infotainment system, when i drove home and got to my house, as soon as i got out of my car i smell something burning, i opened up the hood and saw all this smoke coming out of my battery. The next day my car did not start and i had to call a towing to tow me to the closest dealership. They replace my battery under the warranty. Guess what? No more issues with the infotainment system. It is working perfectly! Also before when i hit the screen it would not respond to anything, now it responds on demand and quickly. I think this units are very energy hungry and require full power and if your battery is not producing 14 volts or more when running with the alternator then you start having issues. I google "can a bad battery cause the infotainment to work improperly" and i got this response: "Yes, a bad car battery can definitely cause your infotainment system to work improperly, as it is an electrical component that draws power directly from the battery, so a weak battery can lead to glitches, slow response times, or even complete failure of the infotainment system" So for anyone having issues please do yourself a favor and check your car battery.
