Pretty cocky coyote

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think a cougar would easily defeat these 2 coyotes. However, cats are intelligent and she/he was concerned that there might be a larger pack of coyotes nearby and that pumas live and hunt alone. Especially since earlier I also saw on YT how a much smaller bobcat chased away 2 coyotes from its prey.

I love when you first spot the mountain lion and mutter under your breath the most genuine “shit..” I’ve ever heard. That must have been one of the most intense adrenaline pumping moments you could experience.

Ambush predators like mountain lions won't risk an engagement if they can be injured. One coyote it'd would probably have risk it but not two or three. Injury even if you win in the wild is likely death in the medium term.

Life is funny like that I just saw a video where a bobcat punked a coyote but here the bobcat ran from the coyote anything can happen Tables can turn roles can reverse. Or the mountain lion could just be simply being the bigger being.😉 life lessons.

Cougars are an awesome hunter .. I seen one close to Reserve NM. in the 80s chasing down a young elk .. in the medows . I never saw the kill but the cat had superb agility and IM sure he got his meal that day .. The speed of the young bull elk was awesome to watch as you could see the muscles bulging at every leap and lunging in the air with the cougar doing the same ..

The moment the coyote spotted the cameraman....a few moments later, the mountain lion spots the cameraman.

I kinda think this cat has been treed by dogs before becuase it would not have ahard time killing that little thing probably just does not like the taste or fight to do so

Mountain lions need to figure out having families. The male lion could go fight the coyotes while the mom stays with the cubs. Win-win, now the cubs have dead coyote to eat too.

Mutual of Omaha Wild Encounter there bud, that was a great video and to be there must have been a little alarming if you were unarmed, the pinching a loaf by the canine should have been the cats that big cat was the one scared out of its mind.

I find it highly unlikely a mountain lion was afraid of a couple coyotes.
