Hello, and my condolences for Ms. Linda Faye Stead. I became familiar with her through the Scorsese movie, "Age of Innocence", and great movie in it's own right, but Ms. Stead's performance put a sparkle in it, it otherwise would not have had. I know it was suppose to be a "run of the mill, 'opera night'" for the Old New York upper-classes, but not being an aficionado of opera, I was still and am amazed by Ms. Stead's portrayal of "Linda Faye Farkas", who's voice reminded me of a captive bird. For years, even decades since the movie came out, I sought out the singer to whom this wonderful voice belonged to. I even wrote Mr. Martin Scorsese himself to inquire (he did not answer). Year, and years, and years. Then, through the wonders of the internet, and after idly searching one night, I ran across this woman. She verified that it was not only her voice, but her who was the singer, singing. I was astonished. Somehow, I even got an account of the various goings on at the making of the movie. We corresponded of a hot minute, and she was gracious enough to actually answer back. I am glad to have explained to her that starting in the 1990's, beginning early October, I began playing that selection, to usher in the changing of the Seasons form Summer to Autumn. That she was the light of the October sky, as those who descend to paint the leaves golden, begin the work of preparing for Winter. Though she may have thought it silly, regardless, I am so glad I got the chance to tell her how important she was to me. Now, especially in October, I shall remember her golden voice and the wonderful grace she brought to this life, and hopefully, on to the next life. R.I.P.

It's that part in the movie, where Archer has broke from his group to join May and Ellen, and the singers are in the background. It's ethereal, echoing in the background of the movie dialogue, and it's like they, and whomever they are, way up in the stratosphere, wrapping up the Season, the warm weather, the beautiful flowers, the sunny days and lazy afternoons, preparing for Autumn to usher in the cold cleansing Winter snows. How ya doing kiddo! Another year and hope and pray you and yours are doing well. Thanks for that treat, and for me, it's the very best part of that movie. So glad I found you, cheers!
