If Barret was the most improved character in part 1, then Cait Sith definitely got the biggest upgrade in part 2!
Definitely Imma be honest, I don't think if I ever played the Remake franchise, idk if I would care about Barret the same way I care for him now, and I think the same goes for Cait Most people (me included) didn't really care for Cait Sith in the OG since he honestly felt more like a plot device than an actual character, but now? They made me like him in the first damn cutscene he appears lmfao

@@tek87I mean Yuffie is generally really liked though, Cait was not. Yuffie did improve a lot, but I think if you measured who improved more by how much people’s impression of the character improved Cait would come out on top

Cait Sith looks like a Disney character now, I was really curious how they would make him blend in with everyone in the party since he's the most "odd one out" of everyone, but somehow, even being all disney-fied, it works so damn well???? They made him better than he's ever been imo

I love this so much This is pretty much all the songs that came on starting from when Nero called Kyrie, when he flew to Dante and Vergil, interrupted them, to Nero's burst of emotions fighting Vergil. This is incredible, thank you.

I've said this before, and i'll say it again and again. Nero may be much like vergil in the fact that he too, craves power. but nero has something to protect with it. Kyrie. the fact that kyrie knows the MOMENT she calls nero in mission 20 that something happened, and is just there for emotional support more than anything the fact that when vergil first ripped nero's devil bringer off, his (nero's) first priority was insuring kyrie was safe above all else. the fact that nero still holds guilt for not being able to save credo, despite the circumstances. Kyrie may not be a fighter like Lady or trish, and may not have the technical prowess of nico, but her love for nero is what keeps him going, what keeps him pushing onward, no matter what. ...anyway, sorry for gushing about how much i love her as a character and love interest.
Vergil HAD someone to protect, his mother He is just like Nero, hated himself because he couldn't protect the one he loved they both crave power for that reason
Except nero accepts help and gets his power from wanting to protect something while vergil wants power but he goes down the path of darkness hence his song named “bury the light”
@@duck6966 EXACTLY, why does he crave so much power? its not just to seem cool and cold hearted, he isnt like those power hungry "i wanna rekt the world" type of villain, he has a backstory, a tragic one, and his character is in fact quite complicated, his thirst for power comes pretty much from what you said, while he felt abandoned, that no one came to save him, he still wanted to live on and gain power, but as he himself said, not just to protect himself but those around him too
All of these people defending Vergil but let’s not forget he was about to let the world get taken over by the underworld, not doing anything until he was beaten and ordered by his son to do so. Though Vergil has trauma you can’t compare that with him not wanting to destroy humanity…he hates everyone and WILL push everyone asides to gain more and more power. And he have no one to protect which is why Vergil always just says he wants more power without a reason…

The Symbolism behind this scene is that while Vergil wanted power for himself to be strong and never week it was purely for him, Nero wanted power to protect others which makes him different
Which also puts him in opposition of Dante, funnily enough, who initially hated his demon side. Nero and Vergil both embrace their demonic heritage. There's just the extra bit about Vergil suppressing his humanity. In a way, Dante and Vergil both hated a side of themselves but it's Nero who truly embraces both sides at the end of the day. Their themes kind of highlight this. "I am Subhuman" and "Bury the light deep within" against Nero's plain ol' "Embrace the darkness that's within me".

Honestly when you think about it and read the lore you can tell that Vergil doesn't admit it, but he wants to gain power so he won't ever lose the ones who really matter to him, after he thought that his mother abandoned him he didn't want to be abandoned ever again, so he seeked for power so that anyone that would be important to him wouldn't abandon him again and he embraced his demon heritage and always seeked for more power and to surpass Sparda because he knows how does it feel to lose everything and he doesn't want to fell that ever again
