Well, you certainly have grit. Wonderful wonderful that you have a place for the kiddies too. My hubby and I moved to SEA little over 5 years to try it out. Very shortly after that he was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer. He lasted until 25 February 2023 and mercifully died. That is over 19 months ago. Due to his illness plus COVID happening, we never really were able to develop any network of friends. We were a gay couple that were both kind of loners, complete within each other. I now sit in the condo we bought that is way too large for me. I would be happy to find another Mr. Right to have in my life. But, I became 83 in September and know realistically that I am hardly marketable now, except for scammers who think I am vulnerable to their schemes. I think often of going home to Los Angeles, but I probably would be about as alone there as here, even though the climate is a little warmer for me there. Oh, well, not planned to go into all that, but thought you might want to know a little about those who follow you. As you know, name is Herman could you tell me yours, please? Am fairly confident it is not ‘Conquer’😋 Stay safe. And SIT DOWN when seat belt sign is on. Any pax who think they have the right to be callous about the safety of the FAs are not worth it. Turbulence can be dangerous. Broken necks CAN occur. Herman

Well, you have offered very sensible advice to the newbies. For sure, $ is tough in the beginning, and it IS all about seniority. If I may ask, you have young children. How many? Am I correct in thinking you started out in ORD and then switched into DCA? Living in Los Angeles should be a tiring commute - basically a second unpaid job, in order for you to get to base. One thing for sure, AA struck gold when they hired you 😊Herman
@@Herman-in-SEA all correct! 3 little ones. The commute was most difficult out of Dca due to the limited number of cross country flights. It’s tough but not impossible. I only experienced born out during the summer when I was flying over 100 hours
Yes, DCA usually is not non stop, except I believe on AS. And IAD & BWI are a distance from parts of metro DC Have to hand it to you, you must really wanna be among the palm trees. I miss them myself H.
@@Herman-in-SEA well the kids are established there and I don’t want to uproot them
The most excellent of all reasons
True chaos, as Mother N shows us how NOT in control we are. Again, your intelligence, compassion, and humanity just pours out. You definitely are an asset to AA. Also, just for an extra shout out, I am an Angeleno for always who happens to live in SEA. AND am a young 83. Herman🌈😀
@@Herman-in-SEA thank you so much you’re too kind
You are such an accomplished young woman with much intelligence and SENSE. All the best. Herman

I studied to be a flight attendant 5 years ago. Since then, it has been difficult to be accepted by an airline. I am from Colombia, and this is my 5th attempt to work for an airline here. I hope that this time the door will be open."
@@angiepaola8687 have you tried some of the charter airlines or regional to get your foot in the door? You can always reapply to the bigger ones once you have some experience
My sister in Christ, your testimony is so beautiful ❤ thank you for sharing your journey with us. I've wanting to be a flight attendant for over 10yrs. A few years back i was hired at United airlines as a ramp agent and I was supposed to fly out to TX to finish doing fingerprints/paperwork when all of a sudden Vegas gets hit with a storm and half of my roof was blown away and water began to pour into my living room. Time before that I had a face to face for Delta for a flight attendant position and my ex had a medical issue (he lied about this so I wouldn't go) and I didn't make it to the interview. I'm going to keep praying and if it's meant for me then it will happen. ❤
@@healthyhappymimi1978 oh wow! I personally believe that only the things we are fully purposed to do come with this level of resistance. Push through and I’ll be praying God give you clarity on how to move forward 🫶🏽💕

I absolutely love your testimony. I truly do, I was asking God for direction towards where my future/goals will take me. put everything in His hands.. I applied for Delta, PSA and United. got the 'tbnt' emails. finally applied for AA sept 4th of this year..and they emailed me an invite for a virtual group interview, last week! God's timing is truly beautiful and I'm forever thankful. I know in my heart that this is my time and I'm not going to take this for granted. I've been studying and making sure that I am ready for my VI next week.. your story is TRULY inspiring me to go harder for my goals. Thank you so much.
