How to Dehorn Your “Adult” Goat!
Welcome to our latest vlog where we tackle the task of dehorning our adult goats Pippie & Maggie! 🐐✨🐐
Unlike those who were disbudded at birth, our goats are getting a horn makeover with a method frequently used on cattle, but just as effective on goats. Each goat is unique, so there's no set timeline for when their horns will fall off, but rest assured-they will! The fastest it happened for us was a swift 56 days! ⏱️
However, since I wasn't as diligent with checking the bands on some of the remaining horns, we're still in the process for a few of our goats. But that's all part of the journey!
We've got you covered with links to both cattle and goat bands, plus a handy goat castration tool y...

Wow! What a great video!
Baby flower!!! 🌸
You work too hard!! You all need to get a small lawn tractor and little trailer. You have too move too much stuff by hand. Please do this if you can !! It's too easy for you to get hurt the way you are doing things now. Just a suggestion from an old lady that grew up on a ranch. I hope you have a good and productive new year. May life smile upon you!!!Sincerely, Kat Wood
@@quaywood6321 We have lots of tools but during winter ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Living this life isn’t made to be easy anyway 💚

I didn't know you could use an oven. I don't have a smoker but i do have an oven. Awesome video thank you!!!
@@UrbanRVLife Thanks for the sweet comment. 🫶🏻 for a long time all we had was the oven so that’s how I made it to begin with for years! We just got the hand-me down smoker last year and was able to experiment with that as well so it’s been fun to do it both ways. Tip: Just remember when using the oven to crack the door with a wooden spoon/spatula. This allows the air flow so the jerky can dry. I also recommend doing it on a cool day cause it does warm up the house haha
Nice place for the goats🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for all the updates!! Exciting!

That's so awesome, so happy to see you on RUclips. Congratulations on the extra job. Please don't get too burned out. Ahhh... may need to change a setting on you camera, your quite blurry for some reason.
Still new to RUclips but on my end it doesn’t look blurry ….. is there a certain point in the video it goes blurry for you or is it the whole video?
@@knsfarms It's the whole video. Idk, it seemed like it couldn't get a good focus on you for some reason. I hope that helps.
@@teresagray1269 thanks I wish I could see it on my end but I updated some settings so hopefully the next video will be better. Thank you for your help I appreciate it 🫶🏻
@@knsfarms Your most welcome
Good if you don’t add too much sugar like everyone does.
@@lynnjohnson1413 It is a sugar recipe. We don’t like to use pectin in our homemade jams.
@@knsfarms I didn’t say pectin, I said a natural sweetener like honey rather than sugar. Diabetes people can’t eat sugar, also sugar feeds cancer. So hats why I won’t buy jam/ preservatives or jelly, it’s way too sweet. It’s not only extremely unhealthy it makes you gain weight and hurts your teeth when you’re trying to eat it.
@@lynnjohnson1413 I never would have thought about using honey as the sweetener replacement that’s an awesome idea and we love our raw honey! Thanks
I would definitely love to learn how to make peach jam I love peach jam
