iPhone green line lighter fix (actually works)

So after replacing my camera on my iPhone 13 Pro I got these green lines in my OLED screen because I was a bit too harsh with the razor on the edge when pulling out the screen. I thought I could throw away my screen but then I found some videos with people heating up the bottom part of the screen with a lighter. I only could only find one or two videos supporting this but I had nothing to lose ...

How can I fix that?
Even country's have borders. Phone manufactures are using border less phones and this makes us buy more frequently. Make sure when you buying phone it have reasonable amount of area for glue lcd screen assembly to housing.
야닉 형님 혹시 라이터만으로 수리를 하고 난뒤 다시 원상복구 되는일은 없었나요?
수리하고하고 나도 예민한 부분이 된거같더라고요. 몇개월 문제 없이 쓰다가 다시 떨어트려서 줄 2개 다시 돌아왔어요. 그걸 다시 라이터로 해결할랐는데 두번째는 효과가 없어서 알리에서 주문한스크린으로 교체해버린거에요
@yanickinkorea I didn't drop it and I got a single line and I didn't cause it to overheat. Should I go to a professional to do what you did?
@ a professional will replace your screen. The method with lighter is high risk of damaging the screen so if you damage it more you’ll still have to replace the screen. So you can decide for you if it’s worth the risk

The bend in the flat cable is so much tight for any brand, including Android phones. That's what causes the lines to appear in so many amoled phones. If it was a spaced smooth curve the traces on that area would not be so fragile, but manufactures prioritizes thin edges rather than durability, I don't care if a phone has thick borders as long as it works with reliability.
El LG chocolate tenía el problema por el flexor delgado y aplastado (igual que un acordeón) La solución de algunos fue meterle cinta gris o cinta mástil o alguna cinta gruesa y fuerte que lo proteja.
De el calor (orillas de metal) y de las curvaturas (pliegues) y a si duraban eternamente. Mi papá tema 1 hasta que se petateo y mi mamá lo regalo

I heated the pixels from the outside, but the number of line increased and the width has get wide, after I heated.

I don't see the burn. If your watching Jerry rigged, it will take some time to burn the display and permanently damage it's colors.

how works is this really really real situation?
There are small tiny wires in the oled screen that are broken in this case. By putting the lighter like this you can re connect the broken wires by melting them together with the heat of the lighter (you need some good luck as well since this doesn’t work in all cases) Be aware I only tried this as a last option because if it didn’t work I was going to to replace the screen anyway

@@user-lp3fw6xc1j that’s unfortunate. I was very very careful as well and also at the back it was a bit burned but still worked out pretty well! Yes I moved to Korea 8 years ago

@@markushoffsten heat is not the cause but you can use it some cases to “re-weld” the oled connections inside the screen. If you research oled you will understand how it works

Hi 야닉Yanickinkorea do i need to screw open my phone to heat the OLED screen from behind? can i use a heat gun or hair dyer to heat the bottom of the screen or directly Infront the screen?
I only tried it once so I don’t not exactly sure but I think from the back only. If you do it from the front the chance of damaging the touch screen would be a higher risk I would say. The oled panel is directly on the back side so I would say the best chance from the back! PS only try it as a last option before replacing the screen coz you can also make it worse if you’re unlucky

Is this the same with a purple line?
I’m not 100% sure but I think the purple line is most of the time a software glitch? The green line is a sotfware glitch or physical damage to the oled screen. In my case it happened after opening the screen when I replaced the camera module so I knew it was due physical damage
