    Hi Larissa, thx for your content. :) What do you think a person should do if this person did not progress in a job for some years, even that person tried to? I would say get *please insert your favorite swear word* out there.

      Absolutely! Especially if the job isn’t offering you any sort of progression in your overall career (mentorship, skill building etc.) If it’s just been a pay check for a while, run! 🏃‍♀️

    Hi great video! I’m a bit confused on something…. Do we answer the “tell me about yourself” the same way to all the different levels of interviews? How do you feel about a “origin story” answer?

    • @SuccessShift1
      @SuccessShift1 Месяц назад

      Thank you! Great question. While the core of your "tell me about yourself" answer should remain similar across different interview levels, you can tailor it depending on who you’re speaking with. For initial interviews, focus on your professional background and key achievements. In higher-level interviews, dive deeper into your strategic thinking, leadership, or longer term goals. The "origin story" approach can be powerful if done right, connecting your past experiences with your current career goals. To make sure you’re on the right track, it’s a good idea to ask the interviewer how detailed they’d like you to be. Knowing how much time you have and adjusting your response ensures clear communication and helps you nail the answer every time!

    Sharing my story if that's okay I'm currently a server. & my boss does not care about the employees. 3 co-workers in the past quit because of that specific co-worker but my boss won't do anything about that since this co-worker "worship" our boss & yet 2 years I did not learn anything. My boss told me 2 days ago that you're nothing and you have no strength" & all you do is entertain the customers however when you gave me ideas for this company I have though about it but that's still nothing for what you do for this company. & no companies will ever hire you". However I built so many relationships with customers there & making them come back. Receiving unexpected gifts from them. but i can tell she wants a quick fast-paced service but for me connecting and building each customers there is a must because I believe when it comes to people dining in or buying food that's "luxury" because it's their day off to relax or they had a bad day & I communicate and checking up on them. I made ideas on their special menu board I even sang to customers there outside haha. but whats stopping me is my intermediate english skills or just not able to find another job but idk what places..

    • @SuccessShift1
      @SuccessShift1 Месяц назад

      Thank you for sharing your story; it sounds like you've been through a lot, and it's clear that you care deeply about your work and the customers you serve! It's tough to be in an environment where your contributions aren't valued, especially when you've gone above and beyond to create a positive experience for your customers. Your focus on building relationships and creating a welcoming atmosphere is a huge strength-something many employers would value. The way you've connected with customers and made them feel special is not just about providing a service; it's about creating memorable experiences that keep people coming back. As for your English skills, remember that every day you’re improving just by using the language, and there are always ways to continue building those skills, whether through practice, classes, or even language apps. Don’t let that hold you back from seeking new opportunities where your talents will be appreciated! It might be worth exploring roles in customer service, hospitality, or even marketing, where your ability to connect with people and make them feel valued can really shine. There are plenty of companies out there that would love to have someone with your passion and dedication on their team. If you’re feeling stuck in your current situation, it could be helpful to start looking at job openings in areas that interest you, even if it’s just to get a sense of what’s out there. Networking, both in person and online, can also open doors to new opportunities. You deserve to work in a place where your contributions are recognized and where you feel valued. If you need help with your job search or brushing up on your English skills, there are resources and people out there who can support you. You're not alone in this, and you have more strength and potential than you might realize! A job search can be scary but take little steps to start and you'll be surprised what you can find!

    Really great and insightful video. Do you recommend quitting without another job lined up if you have the savings?

    • @SuccessShift1
      @SuccessShift1 Месяц назад

      Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you found the video insightful. Whether to quit without another job lined up really depends on your unique situation. If you have the financial stability and savings to support yourself for a few months, it might be a good opportunity to focus on your well-being and finding the right next step. For example, I was fortunate to take 3 months off during my career search, and those months completely changed my life, allowing me to focus all my efforts on my health and figuring out my next career steps. However, if you do quit without anything lined up, anticipate that your job search might take longer than expected. It comes down to whether you can manage staying in your current environment (or physically handle it, depending on your situation) or potentially taking a role quickly to make cash while continuing your ideal job search. Ultimately, trust your instincts and do what's best for your long-term goals. All the best with your job search!

    One thing that I never see people talk about is the different types of interviewers that you could possibly have. Going to a interview with someone from HR or recruitment is very different than interviewing with someone who might be a line manager. Looking for a new team member

    Hi Larissa, thank you so much for creating this insightful video.. I'm learning abundance from this :) I have a question, how many questions that are properly need to be asked in the end of interview? Are 2 questions enough? Waiting for your response

    • @SuccessShift1
      @SuccessShift1 2 месяца назад

      Thank you @ahmadmarzodandy6054 for your kind words! Two questions at the end of an interview are absolutely sufficient, especially if you've had insightful conversations throughout. Avoid giving the impression that you already know everything about the role by not asking any questions. Asking two thoughtful questions can help you gain a better understanding of the position and show your genuine interest. Remember it is about the quality of questions not necessarily the quantity. At the end, remember to ask about the next steps in the interview process to show your interest and get a better understanding of when you'll hear back from the interviewer.

    Rtly said nd vry. Well explained the topic as a professional in my opinion bt.in my view leadership climate towards toxic types of workers should be sternly dealtby keeping their track record in HR nd continuous review is essential apart from training Methodologies, communication skills, learning orientation, shared values, Quality orientation , motivation, control, Empowerment, information safety etc.in brief 10:15 Good Trainer's or manager's r r the backbone of any Sector or organization so they should deal with such toxic mentality workers with maturity in any situation so that the goal of the organisation is not affected.Vry.inspiring nd outstanding lecture.Thanx👍

    No. Society does that, not you. If something is acceptable in society, but not to you then with put up with it or remove yourself from it. If I call you "Sweetheart" in a non-threatening, off hand manner, you don't get to fluff up your feathers. Now, if I'm being creepy with it then fine ... But that is society deciding, not you. Don't like that I talk like that? Don't talk to me. Don't forget that interactions are two way and you should be working to their standards as much as your own.

    • @SuccessShift1
      @SuccessShift1 3 месяца назад

      Thanks for the question! I don't think the order is particularly important, but you definitely can follow the order of the questions in the video. My recommendation: end the question period with question #11 always (asking about the next steps in the interview process). The questions you want to ask before this final question should be ranked based on your favourites but mostly the time limit.

    Bruh I had a date where I spent ages coming up with open ended questions to avoid awkwardness only for them to give one word short answers, barely elaborate and I got through them all within the first half hour 😭 Though tbf he also looked nothing like his profile picture (at least 10 years older) and didn’t even trim his nose hairs (they were HANGING) And he surprised me by telling me, a mid twenties woman, all about his grandchild (yes he was that old- already on if not over the line of my max age for dating hence being even older led to so many other ‘surprises’). He also used the classic “doesn’t everyone lie online these days?” and I just sat there like 🙃

    Just to confuse things... As a hiring manager I don't care if someone does or doesn't ask questions. My biggest focus is how they have connected with our panel and answered the questions. It's what makes getting a job so hard. So many different preferences by those recruiting. I think there is a particular divide between HR and hiring managers who are in the business.

    To be honest, what's the logic? The person prepared for the interview, probably sent cv, motivation letter and so on. But because everything was clear, they don't care? Come on.

  • @Zachary910

    Why not just ask those things, instead of being intentionally vague and hoping people answer the question to your expectations?

    • @SuccessShift1
      @SuccessShift1 5 месяцев назад

      It can get super confusing, absolutely! What interviewers are taught to do, is to 1) ask open ended questions 2) not lead people to the answer they are looking for Ultimately, the interviewer is looking for the right match for the role without giving away too many hints. If a candidate knows what the 'correct' answer is, they will most likely try to answer every question based on what the interviewer wants to hear!

  • @chefalesir
    @chefalesir 5 месяцев назад

    Seems like a good question but in real life scenario, if you haven't made your case by the end of the interview there is nothing you'll be able to say that will change their minds. Not to mention that at the end of the interview they typically will not give you any additional time as it would be unfair for other applicants who didn't get it

  • @propogandalf
