As James 1:17 says.”Science is a Gift from God who is a source of all good things.”The fact that Scientists use their intellect to explore the physical world and make discoveries that improve our living conditions is not only wonderful; it’s also biblical ! As referenced before, God encouraged science from the beginning. What an amazing video to reinforce this that they both go hand in hand. Thank you!!!!
ASI ES! From caring for creation to seeking wisdom, it’s clear that curiosity and discovery are part of our purpose. Science and faith really do go hand in hand when you see them as two ways of understanding the same amazing universe. love you mami!
❤✝ God is our creator. Heaven represents the culmination, not negation of earthly growth. Our world serves as a crucible, Forging souls for eternal communion. In Heaven growth continues without suffering because characters have been tempered through earthly challenges. Divine hiddenness preserves genuine free will; Overwhelming evidence would coerce belief, negating authentic choice. This balance Allows for transformative Faith, Transcending mere intellectual assent. If we could fathom all of God's reasons for allowing suffering, wouldn't that make us his equals, contradicting the very nature of divine transcendence and omniscience? Suffering leading people away from God, demonstrates the reality of free will. God values our freedom to choose or reject him over forced adherence. Divine hiddenness maintains a delicate balance: providing sufficient evidence for seekers while preserving the ambiguity necessary for authentic choice. This explains why God doesn't intervene more frequently; constant divine intervention would negate free will and rational decision-making. Atheism struggles to explain humanity's persistent belief in objective moral truths and the sense of cosmic injustice. If there's no transcendent source of morality how do you account for the universal human intuition that certain sufferings are not just unpleasant but objectively wrong?
Thank you for sharing such a beautifully articulated perspective, it’s clear you’ve put a lot of thought into this. I really appreciate the way you connect the concepts of divine hiddenness, free will, and the purpose of earthly suffering. These are profound ideas that challenge us to think beyond surface-level questions. I think you’ve made an important point about the balance between evidence and faith. If God’s presence were overwhelming or undeniable, it could indeed remove the possibility of freely choosing to believe and love-a love freely given is far more meaningful than one coerced by certainty. This perspective helps make sense of why faith involves an element of mystery and trust. Your point about suffering as a crucible for growth is also thought provoking. While suffering is incredibly difficult to reconcile, the idea that it can refine and shape us for something greater offers hope. It’s a perspective that frames life’s challenges not as arbitrary or meaningless, but as part of a much bigger story-one that goes beyond what we can fully comprehend. As for the universal sense of moral truth and cosmic injustice, you’re absolutely right that these are difficult to explain from a purely materialistic perspective. If morality is purely subjective or culturally constructed, it’s hard to account for the deep-seated human conviction that some things like injustice or suffering are objectively wrong, regardless of context. This sense of morality does seem to point toward something transcendent, something beyond ourselves. Thank you for contributing such a rich and meaningful perspective to this discussion. It’s comments like this that elevate the conversation and invite us all to reflect more deeply.
Darwin and anyone arguing for natural selection based on random, accidental genetic mutations has no clue and no explanation for the unimaginable complexity of living organisms. Far beyond visible variations in outer form, there are so many intricate, complex, coordinated -- we could say "miraculous" - functions taking place every moment. You have to be really ignorant or unaware or just dogmatically attached to your belief in natural selection to believe that's all there is.
It’s true that the complexity of living organisms is absolutely mind blowing. From the intricacies of cellular processes to the harmony of systems working together, life often feels nothing short of miraculous. That said, natural selection doesn’t claim to fully explain the origin of life or its deeper meaning it’s a scientific framework for understanding how species adapt and change over time. While it might not address the “why” behind existence or the sense of awe we feel at life’s complexity, many find that it complements, rather than contradicts, a belief in a Creator. After all, if life is designed, could natural selection not be one of the tools used to achieve that design? Ultimately, I think this is where science and faith intersect in a beautiful way. Science helps us understand the mechanisms, while faith invites us to consider the purpose behind it all.🩵😊
@ Hi. I appreciate your comments. Carl Jung, when asked if he believes in God, reportedly answered "I don't believe, I know." Some people feel, or claim, that they've directly experienced whatever this word God stands for through mystical or near-death experiences, and there is NO question. Personally, I can't help but think that there is a creative intelligence at work in the life we see all around us. It's not "faith" -- just logical observation. Did the Perseverance rover get to Mars after a long series of accidents that just happened to work together in such a way that this contraption got itself to Mars without any guidance or design? Hmmm. How much more complex is a dog, or hummingbird, much less a dolphin (OK, we mention humans also).
Blessed are you, young person, for thirsting and hungering for the Source. You find by searching. Please avoid spending too much time in narrow ideologies. See the presence of the divine in everything, all around.

Really stupid, annoying when "they" title their talk "They don't want you to know ..."
I am only an atheist to the notion of the Christian god. I am fully in to believing our god is really a nerd from some distant planet that seeded our DNA here. Why isn't K Vonnegut's theory just as possible, or more so, than the Christian one? Kurt's theory (in one of his short stories) is that our entire purpose is simply to build a replacement part for an alien traveler whose ship is broken and he is stuck on a deserted planet. We were seeded here to build and take that part it to him so he can continue his journey to the other side of the universe. Why not that versus some Sky God that shoots lightning bolts...the Christian god doesn't sound nearly nerdy enough to figure out how to design DNA. Love it that you are asking the question!
@@rkparc57 First of all, I love the creativity behind Vonnegut’s theory! It’s a perfect example of how our imaginations can come up with fascinating, even absurd, alternatives to traditional beliefs. And honestly, the idea of a nerdy alien seeding DNA here to solve a mechanical problem is kind of charming, it definitely makes you think about how we define purpose and origin. That said, I think the bigger question is less about which theory is true and more about why we’re even asking these questions in the first place. Whether it’s Vonnegut’s alien traveler, a Christian God, or some entirely different explanation, it seems like humans are wired to search for meaning beyond ourselves. Why do we instinctively feel like there’s more to life than randomness? Why does the idea of intention, even in a cosmic sense, resonate so strongly with so many people? Thanks for bringing Vonnegut into the mix, it’s such a fun twist on the usual conversation and makes this topic even more fascinating! Also, if you think about it, the idea of a God who designs DNA, governs the laws of physics, and sparks a universe so intricately balanced is pretty next-level nerdy. That’s part of what makes the conversation so interesting whether you see creation as divine, alien, or something else entirely, it’s amazing that we have the curiosity and capacity to explore it at all 🫶🏽
@@Thegoodquestion -Such a fascinating subject! I agree that we have a drive, common to all people, that make us curious to know as much as we can; and makes us feel like we have some special purpose. And that suggests a creator. With that very thought in mind, I recently asked a couple of Christian friends what the purpose of mankind is from the Christian POV, expecting that there must be some grand plan in mind for us, the chosen ones. But lo and behold all I ever get is stuff like, "To give glory to God." Really? That's it? The Almighty, maker of everything, needs us to pat him on the back and say, "Atta boy!"? He needs the moral support, from us? Kinda weak. Where's the grand plan, at least Vonnegut gave us real meaning, albeit pedestrian. You should hear my Creation Theory, it's a doosey! Point is I am not sure you proved your thesis but you clearly are enjoying and benefitting from the journey! For now real proof is still only found in the scientific method, the only method we have that is self-correcting and subject to endless scrutiny before acceptance. If there is a god (however envisioned) there is no evidence beyond reproach at this point so atheism is still as valid as faith. Wow! It is fun to have an actual conversation online, rare as hen;s teeth! Best to you and yours!
I agrede on what you said, plus you ad samples that we can understand very easy this comlex theme .

why do we care about love, beauty, truth? science can answer these questions. just because Collins was involved in the DNA project and cannot answer or understand other questions does not require adding in god to fill the gap. Being a scientist in one field does not make you qualified to answer other questions.
the question of why we care about concepts like love, beauty, and truth transcends mere mechanics. While science can explain the evolutionary benefits of love or why certain patterns are perceived as beautiful, it often falls short of addressing the deeper meaning or purpose behind these experiences. As for invoking God to "fill the gap," this isn't about plugging holes in our understanding but about recognizing that the material explanations science provides don't exhaust the richness of human experience. A belief in God, for many, offers a coherent framework for these transcendent realities, love, beauty, and truth-that science describes but doesn't fully explain. You’re correct that being an expert in one field doesn’t automatically qualify someone to answer philosophical or theological questions. However, Collins' perspective isn’t rooted solely in his scientific expertise. It’s informed by his personal journey, which combines rigorous scientific inquiry with existential reflection. This approach highlights the interplay, rather than the conflict, between science and faith. Thank you so much for your comment!
@@Thegoodquestion What makes you think there is any deeper meaning? All these are due to the brain and the feelings developed thru evolution. There is not a supreme being needed to provide more meaning.
This is just one man opinion with no evidence, there are many scientist that disagree with him. There are many religions that claim the same, as does meditation. Many religions say the same about their Gods while many people just know it is a brain chemical reaction that has been proven in brain scans. Which God is he referring to that gives him this existential reflection? He does not know how the brain works evidently.
Love is a chemical reaction in the brain designed by evolution, to perpetuate the species. We are more likely to identify with, protect and care for those that provide us a higher degree of survival if we care for them deeply. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Through evolution we are attracted to those things we find to be more attractive. Truth is subjective. It depends on a point of view. No deity of any kind is needed for any of that. As for why the universe is here, why does it need a reason? That is a philosophical question but has no bearing on the need of or lack of a deity. One person not being able to answer a 'why' question is meaningless. BTW, the cellphone analogy doesn't work. Fact is, we can meet the people who designed the phone, we can shake hands with the people that designed the circuits. We could even shake hands with the person who lost the phone when we find their name in it. This argument is old, played, and doesn't work. This doesn't work for the universe because none of that evidence is available at any level. It is simply a god of the gaps argument. Nothing points to 'intention' in the universe. If there is a creator, that entity is cruel since 99.999999999999%+ of the universe is inhospitable to man as far as we know. So, it couldn't have been built for man. We can't even survive on 71%(ish) of the earth without some type special precautions. Mr. Collins faith is great and I appreciate it. Doesn't mean there is a creator.
You bring up some great points, and I really appreciate the thoroughness of your perspective! It’s true that love, beauty, and truth can be explained through evolutionary and subjective lenses, but I think the real question is: Does that explanation fully satisfy us? Knowing that love is a chemical reaction doesn’t diminish its power or its importance in our lives. In fact, many people see those deep, intangible experiences as pointing beyond mere biology, hinting at something greater. When it comes to the universe and intention, I hear you... it’s hard to argue for design when so much of the universe seems inhospitable. But does that necessarily mean there’s no intention? Some would say that the very fact we’re here, pondering these questions and existing on this tiny, rare slice of habitability, suggests something more than random chance. It's not about filling gaps but considering whether the existence of beauty, love, and the ability to question "why" are hints of something deeper. As for the cellphone analogy, fair point, it’s not perfect. But I think it’s less about directly comparing a phone to the universe and more about illustrating the idea that complexity can suggest intentionality. And while we don’t have direct "evidence" of a creator, that doesn’t necessarily rule one out. Philosophical questions about purpose, morality, and meaning are what keep this debate so alive-and honestly, so fascinating. Thanks for the thoughtful critique, what do you think about this? I'm genuinely curious!
@@Thegoodquestion Let me say up front that your comments are some of the best that I've had response from and how much I appreciate your thoughtful arguments. Keep up the good work. But I do disagree. As far as the impacts of love and relations, the evolutionary approach would seem to be the honest answer. We are a social species. As such we require companionship to varying degrees. Deeper meaning is subjective beyond that. If a person feels that a deity of some type is required, that's fine but it is only a personal choice without evidence. We can measure the chemical reactions of the brain. This places the evolutionary process as an honest understanding (even though it may seem somewhat less in the romantic sense). As for the universe, we have only one example of life on any planet with 100% certainty. Should we find that life at all levels is abundant in the universe, the randomness would go away quickly. So, randomness at this point is just supposition. Best we can say now is, it doesn't appear that the universe was built with man in mind. Same can be said for the earth. As for the Teleological Argument, it is a god of the gaps position. We identify complexity and assign a god or designer where agency isn't required. In other words, assigning a creator without evidence is a thought stopping argument with the intent to keep a person from looking further.
@@jamgill9054 I love interacting with people like you who are so open to healthy debate! And you’ve also laid out a solid perspective, and I appreciate the clarity of your argument! I agree that evolution provides a powerful explanation for how love, relationships, and social bonds developed to ensure survival. But here’s the thing, understanding the mechanics of something doesn’t necessarily explain its meaning. We don’t just experience love or beauty as functional processes; we experience them as profound and transcendent realities. When it comes to the universe, you’re absolutely right that we only have one confirmed example of life. But even that one example raises profound questions. The universe is extraordinarily fine tuned, with constants and conditions that had to align perfectly for life to exist. Is it possible this is random? Sure. But when something is so incredibly precise, isn’t it at least reasonable to consider whether intention or design might be involved? Even some of the most skeptical scientists admit the odds of such precision happening by chance are astronomically low. As for the Teleological Argument being a “god of the gaps,” I get your point , but you might have misunderstood my point, It’s not about stopping inquiry or filling in what we don’t know with "God." Instead, it’s about following the evidence where it leads. When we encounter complexity, fine tuning, or profound meaning, it’s reasonable to ask whether that points to something beyond chance. We do this in every other area of life when we see intricate design, we infer a designer. Why not consider the same possibility for the universe? Thanks for sharing your thoughts it’s a conversation worth having, and I appreciate your openness to engaging with these big questions! We could discuss these points endlessly, and I think it ultimately comes down to the lens through which we view the world. Our perspectives shape not only how we interpret evidence but also what we consider meaningful or sufficient as an explanation.🩵
❤✝ God is our creator. *Heaven represents the culmination, not negation of earthly growth. Before this universe existed, there was an intelligent, omnipotent lump that had the power to create anything. Then this lump split into this world and perhaps a male and female "God". So everything you see in this world is part of that omnipotent lump. Now imagine you were the female "God" and your spouse was the male "God". Now add a Board of Directors of Women into this mix as well. Even though you might be heavily opposed to certain things, you will be helpless. Because the omnipotent lump had a different morality and will than you. Based on my experience, I don't think it was an entirely good omnipotent lump. But without knowing the full truth and the mind-bogglingly huge scales involved, it is impossible to say anything for certain. That omnipotent lump might even have had the power to predestine our future.
Wow, that’s a really creative take! The idea of an "omnipotent lump" and a cosmic Board of Directors definitely gets you thinking about the complexity of creation and morality on a whole new level. You’re absolutely right that when it comes to something as vast as the origin of everything, it’s impossible for us to fully grasp the "mind-bogglingly huge scales" involved. What I’d say, though, is that many traditions see God as more than just a powerful, neutral force. Instead, they describe a being who is inherently good, intentional, and relational someone who created out of love and with purpose. The existence of things like love, beauty, and truth often feels like evidence of that purpose, rather than random acts of an ambiguous "lump." As for the morality question, it’s such an interesting one. If there is a creator, then maybe our sense of morality is part of how we connect to that being. And sure, we might not always understand it, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s arbitrary or against us. Honestly, these kinds of questions are what make exploring this topic so fascinating! THANK YOU!
@@Thegoodquestion An immortal God would have infinite time. Having to pass infinite time is maddening if you think about it. No number of combinations of experiences and people will be enough to stave off the boredom. So the stakes are raised in everything. Everything is planned by God on an extremely grand scale. So God divided the time into two states - the state of suffering and the state of enjoyment. Then he created the cycle of births and deaths like a very long bicycle chain. Maybe everyone is eventually born as every race we see on this planet and reaps all the associated rewards/suffering.
I've been doing law of attraction work for 12 years and I didnt get anything I wanted. What is the problem? How do I get it NOW? I've waited long enough. How do I live like that life is already mine? How do I make everyone do whatever I want? How do I make people want to give me their money? How do I make people want to hire me? I've been doing this stuff for 12 years. I'm not new to but I want to actually work for me.
@@BlazeMordecai205 First, if you’ve been working with the Law of Attraction for 12 years and feel like nothing is happening, it’s worth asking: Are you truly aligned with what you want? Sometimes we think we’re manifesting, but deep down, there’s resistance doubt, fear, or attachment to when it’s going to happen. That energy can block what you’re trying to attract. Second, the Law of Attraction isn’t just about thinking positive thoughts or visualizing. It’s about taking inspired action. Manifestation works when you meet the Universe halfway. Are you putting yourself out there in ways that align with your goalswhether that’s networking, honing your skills, or actively showing people the value you bring? Also, let’s talk about the idea of “making” people do what you want or “making” them give you money. That’s not how attraction works. Instead, think about WHY someone would want to hire you, pay you, or be around you. It all comes down to offering value. When you focus on service what you can give instead of what you can get you naturally become magnetic. 🩵🩵

the video's attempt to reconcile science and faith relies on flawed arguments and oversimplifications. the "how" vs. "why" dichotomy, the argument from design, the argument from consciousness/morality, and the argument from the reliability of reason are all weak arguments that have been extensively critiqued by philosophers and scientists. while the video promotes a message of harmony between science and faith, it does so by misrepresenting the scope of scientific inquiry and relying on flawed reasoning.
Thank you for your thoughtful comment, it really helps me think through these ideas more deeply! The "how" vs. "why" distinction isn’t about separating science and faith but showing that they often address different questions. Science focuses on "how" things work, while faith or philosophy explores "why" they matter. These perspectives can complement each other and have been embraced by many thoughtful scientists and philosophers. While arguments like design, consciousness, morality, and reason have been critiqued, they remain significant. The argument from design, for instance, has evolved into more nuanced discussions like fine-tuning in physics, which continues to spark serious debate. Similarly, arguments about consciousness and morality aren’t about offering definitive proof but raising deep questions that materialist explanations struggle to address. The video isn’t misrepresenting science but rather showing how it can coexist with larger questions about purpose and meaning. Thank you for your critique, it’s feedback like this that makes the conversation richer and more meaningful!

When it comes to manifesting anything in life, one of the most important things to remember is that it’s difficult to create from a place of lack or longing. The key is to focus on becoming whole and complete within yourself. It’s about realizing that your happiness and worth don’t depend on anyone else, not even someone you deeply care about. I may not know the reasons why you and your ex are no longer together, but I truly believe that when you start to feel joy, peace, and love from within, the universe will reflect that back to you in ways you might not expect. Sometimes, that means your ex finds their way back to you, and sometimes it means the universe leads you to something even more beautiful. Either way, trust that everything is unfolding exactly as it’s meant to, and focus on nurturing your own happiness. You deserve that. I also want to invite you to watch this video I made: ruclips.net/video/tSSQCKJxSM4/видео.html Even though your situation isn’t about being ghosted, I think the principles I talk about in that video can apply to what you’re going through. Let me know what you think, and if you’d like to talk further, I’d be more than happy to help you however I can. 💙
In case the man don't love you so you have to love your self first and focus on making mom=nay and be successful after that the man that you need will love you
How do I act as my exam results are mine? When my exams are near and I am not able to study.
Thank you for your question! Visualization is indeed a powerful technique to set a positive mindset, but it works hand-in-hand with the actions you take toward your goals. Acting as if your exam results are good doesn’t mean ignoring the preparation part; it means embodying the confidence and calmness of someone who has already done their best. Remember, 'acting as if' doesn’t mean bypassing the process, it’s about fostering the belief that you are capable and resourceful enough to improve your situation. You’ve got this!
