Hi Micah & Greg, I absolutely loved the discussion-it was so insightful that I didn’t even realize when the video ended. Just wow! Truly amazing. Please keep creating more content like this! 😊 I had a thought-perhaps in scenarios like this, sharing a brief agenda with the client beforehand could be beneficial. Also, since we touched on reporting, presenting sample one-page dashboards with key KPIs could make a positive first impression on the client. Building on those samples, this could serve as an excellent follow-up opportunity for the next meeting, where we could showcase dashboard previews and relevant KPIs such as SPI/CPI, time-to-go-live metrics, estimated cash outflows for funding arrangements, key issues, risks and their estimated impact on KPIs, and decision points prioritized based on what’s critical or near-critical. Just some thoughts-I’d love to hear your views!

Amazing guys. I have 21 years experience in Planning (oil and gas industry) and i'm looking for how to use AI for scheduling and the topic "AI in Construction" was essential for me. Here in Brazil we are still in our infancy in terms of AI planning. MS Project and Priamvera P6 still reign supreme.

Spot on Gentlemen! Decomplexification, another testimony to Greg’s Britishness! If I could change one thing about P6 it would be the network diagram. I still struggle with presenting it to people on large projects. Do you know any application that could help?

I enjoyed your video.Have been trying to make a transition into construction as a scheduler/planner but still finding it hard here in Uk.I have the knowledge of using P6 to schedule and i want to believe am 80% of myself.Uk experience is my limitation so far.I wish someone like you could walk me through the difficult path.

Very useful! My favorite metrics are Percent Complete and SPI. I believe the weight factors in the Percent Complete metric should be tailored to the project. These can be either dollar-based or duration-based, and I’ve even seen projects that used a combination of both. I’ve also developed a metric to identify unbalanced bids and monitor contractors’ profit margins throughout the project. Since profit margin is a key motivator for contractors, we want to ensure their motivation remains consistent over time. Please let me know if this sounds interesting, and I’d be happy to send you the paper. P.S.: The title and topic of your book seem fascinating! I just ordered it.

Nice to find something like that on RUclips. A 22-year scheduler here. Definitely a lot of valid points. I don't think there is a catch all for a happier scheduler life, but, one of the things that kept coming in ny way was, how to articulate to the team what you feel like they need to ask for, imho this is one of the biggest pain points

I totally agree with you on the implementation period and resources needed being decision making criterion while comparing them to the business case goals. We faced this challenge when implementing Holo Builder which was dropped after one project due to limited resources and untapped goals that could not extend its usage to other projects.
