We have lived at The beautiful Villages for close to fifteen years , It has been an awesome experience with the positives far above the negatives. A great place to stay in shape and have fun and lots to do. MY Wife has also been very happy. We love to dance and go to the Squares and to the different Country clubs that offer good dancing and are dancing friendly. Not all of them are. Many keep their dance floors small. Not dance friendly at all. And their prices of food and wine are very expensive , so we go mostly outside The Villages. Our very favorite place was Katie Belle's which was shut down. It had the largest and best wood dance floor and we loved to go there. That is the worst part . I do not know why they took it down because every one I spoke with loved it and it is our history. and landmark. Everyone talks about saving energy and buy electric this and that. Especially autos, However , we have very poor transportation not only in The Villages, but all over Florida. It is horrible. As we get older, many cannot drive long distance nor see that well and we need trains or busses to help us travel. We all love to travel , but getting around is tough or impossible for many. I prey The Villages finds a new method of transportation for us so we do not have to drive an auto. We really need this. It would be nice to have Horse and buggy rides here if possible .

the people who live there are very open with conversation and get togethers. It's like all the nice people in your northern neighborhoods got together and live in one area. It's no more likely to have swingers there, than anywhere else. I was there and didn't get any vibe of swinging , just super nice ppl who are friendly and like to have the company of others. The rest of this story is clickbait, - and should be dismissed. There are other bulletin boards for those who want that type of activity.
