The Tchibo Bean to Brew Machine. Let’s Review!
I drank too much coffee and banged out this review of something I felt I had to have. The Tchibo Machine. Did I really need it?! Not really. Do I like it? Yes.

    Was tempted when i first saw this for $300. Decided against it snd went with a refurbished Gaggia Brera from Whole Latte Love for the ssme price. I couldn't be happier with my decision.

    Great video. Next time show how you change the grinder setting. Not sure if I understand it has to be on before you can change it.

    Edward, I enjoyed watching your review. I will stop my search and go with this one. Thank you!

    Everything Ed says is true. However ... after using it for almost a year, it seems to be a typical piece of over-engineered German technology where you need to attend Tchibo school and complete an apprenticeship with a Tchibo Repair Master to fix the darn thing when it breaks. Ours is locked in an eternal descaling cycle because the grinder rotates forward and gets stuck up in the grounds container. Customer service is an endless loop of automation.

    I became a real-coffee-drinker during Covid and now more into how to best make and enjoy my espresso or latte, next thing I learn how not all espresso machine is made equal… is DeLonghi considered Tchibo’s competitor?

    • @edwardmarques7546
      @edwardmarques7546 Год назад

      I would say that any company that produces a super automatic machine is competition for TCHIBO. DeLonghi is HUGE!

    Does anyone know how to fix the problem of the machine not emptying a compressed coffee after each use?? I am waiting on a response from customer service but have not heard anything yet. I have only had this machine for about 10 months and I have loved it but now it seems to be on the fritz!!😢

      I have never had this issue, but I do understand that customer service is no longer reliable. Unfortunately.

    Do you have any issues descaling it?

    • @ronlaurenzo9116
      @ronlaurenzo9116 Год назад

      Mine gets stuck at the end of the descaling cycle because the grinder gets stuck in the forward position. It descaled fine when we first got it.

    Everyone wondering who manufacturers this coffee machine it's the same corpo under which WMF, Krups, Tefal and Rowenta is. I am not 100% positive, but it should be made partially in Krups factories.

    Hi Edward - Any idea how this Tchibo machine compares to the Jura A1?

    • @edwardmarques7546
      @edwardmarques7546 2 года назад

      The Jura was the machine I wanted, but couldn’t afford. I don’t, however know how they compare. I’d LOVE to taste shots pulled from both machines. If I ever upgrade I’ll post a video for that machine as well. Thanks for watching!

    So what’s the temperature any idea, my problem with the cup brewers are the coffee or cocoa are rarely what I call hot. How much water does it hold? I know it has a filter how often do you change the filter?? I’m sure they’re specific to the machine aka specialized.

    • @edmarques9636
      @edmarques9636 3 года назад

      Hello! The water reservoir hold about 37 ounces. I JUST pulled an espresso shot and it dispensed at 145 degrees Fahrenheit. This unit does not have a filtration system - I usually add filtered water. Thanks for watching!

      @@edmarques9636 .....As a coffee aficionado I was always taught (and have read more than once) that ideal temperature is 196 degrees.....so it dispensing at 145 degrees concerns me......this is one of the issues I am having with my Inessia Machine, and thus why I am considering getting getting rid of it and going to the Tchibo.

    • @antoniodorso
      @antoniodorso 2 года назад

      Also, Ed, toward the end there you mentioned that there is a well for the "pucks",,,,,,,I was under the impression that this is strictly bean to brew and did not take pucks or capsules..... Thus, is it multi tasking in that regard????

    • @edwardmarques7546
      @edwardmarques7546 2 года назад

      @@antoniodorso Hello - the “pucks” are the spent grounds that are left over after pulling a shot. Rounds of compressed coffee. This machine doesn’t do capsules. Thanks!

    • @edwardmarques7546
      @edwardmarques7546 2 года назад

      @@antoniodorso The temperature is a concern for some folks and I know that there are other machines out there that get closer to ideal temperatures. For me it’s fine, however. The price sold me. One day I’ll upgrade, for sure. Thanks for watching.

    • @edwardmarques7546

      Rafael! The second cup I show - the ILLY cup - is basically an americano. It works very well and you can adjust the grind and size of the shot to your liking. Thanks for watching. Keep you eyes open for an update in the next week or so!
