Walked there from the cruise ship. Beach in front of ship was way too crowded, and the ship blocked the view. We walked down the beach to Jack's Shack, cut through it to the main road, went left, walked a ways, left again to Governor Beach. Had a great day there. Uncrowded, beautiful stretch of beach with donkeys! MUCH better than cruise port beach

Going on that ship on Sunday

Was on the journey cruise in March 2024. Embarkation was a breeze. Food was not good to me. Guys burger is always a hit. The steakhouse amazing, Bonsai was very good and fun. Director made it fun. Sailing on there again on the 27th for a quick 4day trip.

On our cruise on the Venezia (July 8th, 2024) the air conditioning was broken on the Lido deck and many other places. Several people we met were saying their cabins didn’t have AC either. We spoke to a lido deck manager (white uniform) and he basically told us to complain to his supervisors since they’re not listening to his complaints. He went on to say Carnival cut his staff in half, as well as the rest of the ship’s crew.

What those elevators needed was a separate panel/screen to enter the number of people first. I was on the Venezia and we were five people. Many times the elevator would open as I’m still trying to hit the floor number five times, and the elevator would close before I could finish doing that. It was very frustrating.

I was on this same sailing! We enjoyed it, of course not perfect but nothing is!

The ship looks nice but the food is awful in the main dining room and the buffet. If your room is on deck 2, you can forget about getting any sleep. The galley is on deck 3, and there is 24/7 banging very loud. Don't bother playing bingo because the winner is predetermined. I guess there too lazy to use a regular ball dispense machine. My first sailing on Carnival and my last. Ship is clogged with people on scooters.

as an engineer I completely understand the intent and function of the elevators. However, expecting most people to change their habits to suit an algorithm never works they way and engineer expects it to. I really feel like the user interface needs to be improved for people to really understand how to work with the elevators.

I was on that ship in April and it was the worst cruise I’ve ever been on! Food was absolutely terrible and crew was rude!

again, its craftsmanship! these things are being built by subpar workers that have terrible work ethic and bad attention to detail. we are seeing this in the RV industry, almost all car manufacturers and commercial aircraft. my tech friend who works at precision cast parts says he will not board an airplane made after 2020. nor should anyone buy a vehicle made after 2020(with a few exceptions). this woke liberal world is full of pansie people who have terrible work ethics: and it’s starting to rear its ugly head!

I am boarding the Venezia from Port Canaveral. That is a nice port with plenty of parking. Easy entrance to the port without much traffic. Good choice!
