Mevo Go Delay - How Bad Is It?
Просмотров 9942 года назад
Using the beta Mevo Go app, you can do some pretty awesome things like bring HDMI camera sources into the Multicam app. But how bad is that delay going to be?

Another Budget Wireless Mic!

I bought a wireless lapel mic for super cheap. Is it any good? Will it even work? *I bought this mic with my own hard earned money and was not prompted by anyone to review this mic. Mic Comparison and Settings

Our Mevo Livestream Setup For Our Church
Просмотров 30 тыс.3 года назад
I share some of our success and struggles utilizing Mevo Livestream cameras in our church setting. This video shows our configuration of cameras, audio, network connection, and control device. Hopefully you find this information useful and let me know if you have questions! Links to the products that I am using Network switch with PoE: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016XIU1HE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search...
How do you fix it
We're still working on dialing in audio. We started using Mevo during covid as well, and just moved up to the 3 cameras.

I am gonna be honest, but the webcam doesn't hit the bar imho. Audio is great but I find the Mevo very grainy.
What is the brand name of the hub you are using ? Because the setup is what I’m looking for, and nobody has shown a video like that. Thank you for sharing that information.
So gald I found this video, I'm hhaving issues getting the mics thhat are connected to the Podcaster Pro to come thru the Mevo app. Do I need a specific mic to get this to work?
i just ordered a Rodecaster 2, a Mevo 3 pack and a new Ipad today! This video is a lifesaver and I will let you know how my setup is! Thank you so much for the video. I think I was channeling your video before I did see it! I just need an hub. Please tell me our hub brand and model!
Can you send the equipment used in the post?
Thank you
I pastor a small congregation in the same position as yours and we've just switched to a second MEVO, so thank you for your videos! I have a few questions; 1. Is a stream deck the same thing as a switcher? 2. This is new for my congregation and we're learning, so I don't know what is NDI. Is this another piece of equipment we need? 3. We're constantly improving and striving to do our best for God, so thank you!
Does this work without the Pro Subscription? I want to start going 1080 to youtube for my son's games
I love your setup Ben. Also, great video. What specific hub are you using to connect the iPad. Thank you
But Mevo’s website says it does NOT operate on Apple M1???
I am using an M1 iPad Pro, not a laptop.
Thanks again mate!
Any time!
Super helpful. Thanks from Australia
You're welcome!
Thanks for this! Great walkthrough of your system! I am curious. Did you try wireless at all? Or did ya just go straight for wired?
We did wireless initially but at that had issues with the cameras and the stability and reliability of running wireless. Once we went wired, almost all network issues went to zero.
How do you get the audio from your audio source (microphone) to Rode and out to the iPad? I am struggling to get the audio into the iPad from the Rode through USC-C. The iPad will only use the audio from the Rode if I am connected directly to it. If I pass the USB-C connection through a USB-C hub, it will only use the iPad mic. I have the Mevo camera mics diabled.
What iPad are you using? I believe this only works with the M1 processors.
Sorry, I still don't get how to connect RodeCaster(Audio) and mevo (Video) together? I watched so many videos here, but none of them tells how to connect them. Thank you.
Hello, what brand and model hub are you using?
Can you do me a favor by giving this video a like and subscribing? 😁 It is a Baseus hub I got from Amazon. They show it no longer available but in my experience, other quality USB-C hubs I have used have produced quality results. The hub is not necessary to connect the rode caster to mevo. I simply used it to be able to connect my external monitor and run the rode caster. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YW7ZXNB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Please, what hub is that?
Hi Ben. Great video! Do you think this would work just to connect the Rode Procaster directly to the iPad without the hub (I don't use an additional screen)? If so, which cable would have to use (I am guessing: USB-C out from Procaster to iPad in Lightning...)? Thanks a lot for your help!
Hello thanks for sharing, I’m interested in getting a unit to start a podcast. I don’t know Mevo cams can be hardwired. So can I connect the cams into a video mixer? They don’t have HD right? I think on only audio can work
Hello. If no longer using the Mevo app (now using ecamm), how can you zoom in and out
But what exactly are you using? Just give a list of the equipment you are using. What hub is it? How does it connect to the iPad and rode? People always talk about what they do in general but help with specifics please
Can this be done using the cameras as wired cameras?
Make another video step by step setting this up please
I’ve been enjoying our MEVO at church. And I like the new screencast feature because I can make motion graphics and share it through the mevo platform now! BUT what I don’t like is how screencast doesn’t fill up the full 1080X1920 window. So whatever you’re displaying not only gets compressed but downsized too. I really hope they fix this soon 😭🙏🏾
Hi Ben, thank you to share!!!, I have a question, there is a way that I can send the video of 3 or 4 Mevo cameras to an rtmp server simultaneously? Thx
This is a very nice video. I have been watching videos about mevo. You mentioned that you connected the sounds to your board. How did you do it? And also will it work to a analog mixer? We are a home church and praying to have our own in the future by God's grace.
Hello and thank you for this video. If the external screen is touchscreen, can we control the Multicam application from this external screen? I use an iPhone 14 pro and I would really like to be able to isolate the Multicam application on an external touch screen while still being able to do other things on my iPhone. Is that possible ? THANKS
Thank you!! My friend from NYC
Thank you for sharing you answered ALL my questions and more.
I appreciate you watching!
We're turning a single mevo camera from our church and I would like to run the sound the soundboard. Can you give me suggestions of what cord I should use and how do I connect it into the soundboard?
There are some variables at play that would be helpful to know so I can point you in the right direction. Knowing the make and model of your soundboard and current connections as well as if you intend to connect to your camera directly or to your control device. Feel free to email me with some pictures and I will do my best to help! My email address is found in the about section of this channel and please consider leaving a like and subscribe!

I found my experience both with Rode as well as the Logitech MEVO series highly disappointing on my iPad and my mac and with streaming. I had the Streamer X and the MEVO 3 pack. Both products were still in BETA phase. I returned them both as the rode software wasn't working for Mac and the MEVO Mac software was also not connecting. 1400€ to be a beta tester. Incredibly disappointing because both products looked so promising.
I am sorry you have been having trouble! There is a great Mevo Facebook group that can be helpful in your troubleshooting.
@@thebenbeckner It's ok. Can't have it all. At least not all the time. It's still a beautiful product though.
Hi, i am on small church, this system will help me please let me know
I pastor a small church as well! How can I help?
I put this stream on the 55" tv in my office and it looks great. The lower bandwidth requirements for HEVC will help so many have successful streams. Thanks Ben!
Thanks Jason! This "feature" is very promising!
Great thanks
Thank you for watching!
Any updates? I have been able to successfully get the feed from my Handycam into the USB Camera App, and get that feed to go to Mevo Multicam through Mevo go. However, the delay is AWFUL. It appears as though it just sends a new frame every couple of seconds...no smooth video whatsoever. Any thoughts?
I don't really have updates specific to this procedure. Like you mentioned the delay is present which limits the content that I would use this method for. I did not experience the delay or stuttering you're describing however. Network and the capabilities of the devices used may be playing a part in your issue. Feel free to email me I can try to help or post your question in the Mevo Facebook group and maybe we can help you out further!
can you please give a link to a usb-hub? Thank you!
Here is the link to the hub I used. Amazon lists it as unavailable but in my experience, I have had good luck with other quality USB-C hubs as well. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YW7ZXNB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
@@thebenbeckner Thank you!
What are you using to convert the Ethernet to USB-C to go into the back of the camera. The units I have carry the images but don't charge the camera ? (We ordered Netgear kit based on your recommendation). Love from the UK. We're using Mevo's to capture street outreach ruclips.net/video/J4ubXBHLxkk/видео.html also testimonies ruclips.net/video/WkJJa7wlyy0/видео.html and installing them in local churches. Great videos. Thanks Ben
Thanks for what you are doing for the kingdom! I am using the Mevo ethernet adaptors. They are a little expensive but have been trouble free! And Lord knows I don't want to get into that attic anymore than I have to to deal with something problematic. ;) They have been in use for about 3 years now I think.
what the name of that hub

What are your levels at on the microphones ??
Are you referencing the gain input levels?
Why not just add mevo cams into pro presenter via NDI and live stream through RTMP or Resi?
Great question! I know I could spend more time in setting up Pro Presenter to achieve the looks and views we want and need. Ecamm makes that part so much easier and one less thing to tax this computer with. Also It takes something else off of the plate of the person running the presentation (we need those lyrics advanced on time!) and it involves someone else participating in the ministry of the church. I like that part!
Great setup. I have the latest Mac mini with the m2 pro chip. Is it possible to use ecamm and pro presenter on one computer or are two needed?
Thank you! I would not suggest running both on the same program. Both programs can be heavy in the processing needs which can cause other reliability issues. My pro presenter machine I know couldn't handle both tasks at the same time. It is a 2019 MBP with the intel processor.
@@thebenbeckner Actual Macbooks and iPads (Pro) should do the job due to much more processor power, but I have none of them available at the moment to try this out.
Hi Ben. Thank you for your walkthrough. During the lockdown/pandemic days we only used a Logitech C920 HD Pro Webcam via VMix to livestream. After all went to near normal (again). We decided to add more cameras to cover the church and of course, te overflow. We now have the following setup: 1) iSmart AMC-E200T PTZ motorized camera - behind the stage (wall mounted) over looking the congregation - pans, zooms and tilts, brilliantly 2) Canon EOS M50 Mark II Mirrorless Camera - tripod mounted (unmanned) focuses on the entire stage but too static for my likening - would have loved to be able to zoom it remotely 3) Logitech C920 HD Pro Webcam - In the overflow on a tripod 4) Blackmagic Design ATEM Mini Pro - used to control inputs to and switching for VMix 5) Huddly GO USB Conferencing Camera - Spare (not used, at the moment) None does what we want apart from the iSmart AMC-E200T PTZ motorized camera. I wish I knew what I know now. I am considering adding Mevo to the mix (to replace the function of the Canon M50 - I see that you use iPad to control your cameras, would I be able to zoom in and out using a PC? Any advice to make things better is welcome, thank you. ruclips.net/video/MOE3i_lY5tg/видео.html I will appreciate your email contact, if you didn't mind.
Thanks for your comment! To answer your question about using a PC to to control the Mevo cameras, no, they run on tablets and smartphones. Mevo has been pretty clear they have no intention of developing software for computers. My email is also listed in the contact info of this channel. Let me know how I can help!
