Le très grand Maître sinon un très grand Maître qui aura marqué de son incroyable empreinte la très grande histoire du saxophone ! Un illustre dont la mémoire aurait largement mérité les honneurs que d'autres (le plus souvent extérieurs au monde de la musique) n'ont pas manqué d'usurper.

C'est la première fois que j'entends Marcel Mule jouer du sopranino. Quand il a joué à la création du Boléro en 1928, il me semble qu'il avait dit qu'il ne jouait pas de sopranino

Il avait une voix unique même si certains lui reprochent un vibrato excessif

L'aspect conique de la section du corps du saxophone est fondamental car il permet d'exprimer toutes les harmoniques, contrairement à la clarinette cylindrique qui efface toutes les harmoniques paires, ce qui lui confère un timbre plus pauvre, mais d'aucuns diront plus pur.

2:29 Est-ce que c'est la ligature d'alors? Ça ressemble pas du tout à celles de nos jours.

In the video, says 1953 but it's 1853 (as it is in the description). Thank you Nicolas Prost to making this good series of orchestral pieces with the saxophone, I'm listening to such beautiful pieces that didn't know they existed and with the saxophone they are prettier!!
