Great question! It is important to spend time with God, especially when we're going through hard times. One way we can do this is by holding onto/reading His word. It's tempting run to worldly advice, which isn't all bad (emphasis on all), or to what we think we need to hear. But God's promises are the only 100% true thing we can hold on to. No, I'm saying that as believers in Jesus, we are what's keeping the world from completely "spoiling", or being overrun by the enemy's influence. Like how God decided not to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah for the sake of the righteous, we as the righteous are supposed to spread Jesus' light so non believers can have a chance at salvation.

@genesis_root I'm not sure what you mean by "food for God". God made us to love us and so we could love and serve Him. He wants to be reunited with us one day so, yes as believers, we "preserve" as many souls as we can(by spreading the gospel) so all can have chance to be united with Him. Not so the world can be His "food".

Then the “food” I’m talking about is the souls that God created, that we are “preserving”! Why do I call the human souls food? Well, that’s what you implied when you said that we are like salt that season and preserve “food”. So, the secular world of human souls is that “food” that you implied that we are seasoning & preserving. And did not God say in Ezekiel 18:4, “behold, all souls are mine”?! And did not Jesus say in Matt 13:24-30 that the world is a field where he sowed good seed?! Aren’t these seed human souls?! Hence, is the secular world food for God?! 🤔

Hi! It's true that Cain gave garden produce. In Genesis 4: 4-5, it says, "The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering, but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor." The Bible doesn't explicitly say there was a problem with WHAT Cain offered, it might have been his heart posture, but we can also infer the problem was what he offered because God later tells him in verse 7: "If you do what is right, will you not be accepted?"
