    Hi Mike, you certainly are doing great work on the truck, I live in the inner suburbs of Melbourne Australia, and even where I live you still get to see some huge trucks on the main roads, you will only see tractor units with only two trailers ( I think these are B-trains) there was one unit I did see that had thred trailers , but this unit could only travel a certain route from point A to point B, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia, Les

      @MikesMilitaryModelling 11 дней назад

      Hi Les Hope your well, yep it was the same when I drove in NSW 1 trailer in the city areas and the further out you go the more trailers you could pull. They are trying to get the B doubles on the roads here but apart from the motorways most roads are too small. Cheers Mike.

      Great enjoy the build, the only thig I'd say is stick the canopy on with PVA and I use a Sharpie to paint the frame. If you are careful you wont get any on the glass but if you do then let it dry and then use the sharp end of a cocktail stick and gently rub the ink off the glass. Hope this is of some help. It's pretty much the same as mag wire just different insulation. Cheers Mike.

    The top bunk was stowed in the down position like in the instructions it was then used as rear seats for the tank crew if you were carrying them aswell as the tank although most of the time the crew would travel in minibuses. If the tank transporter crew was sleeping in the cab the bunk would be raised to turn it into a top bunk. Most of the time it was in the down position. I'm an ex tank transporter and drove the scammel aswell as the Oshkosh M1070f for many years. Great video 👍

      Hello Phil, thanks for the information, I wasn't really sure what to do with the seats. Most of the wagons I drove were double sleepers but I always managed to single crew. • @MikesMilitaryModelling
      @MikesMilitaryModelling 3 месяца назад

      Hello Simon, Yep looked at loads of them for all the kits I've built but to be fair the cost is too high, 25% of the cost of the kit for the engine for example. I bought an Edward interior kit for the M1070 but I didn't really feel it was value for the money I paid. I guess it depends on how you plan to display the finished truck, if you are going to leave the bonet (hood) up then you need an engine. Cheers Mike.

    Hi Mike, the turret is coming along very nicely, it certainly is a big beast of a tank, a few years ago, I had the grest privilege to crawl over an Australian Abrams, at the tank base 90k's from Melbourne Australia, the turret as yoj know is big on the outside, but not really a lot of room inside, looking forward to the next update soon, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia, Les

      Morning Les, Hope all is well in your world, that sounds great, sadly I don't know of anything like that here. I think most of the UKs tanks are based at Catterrick in the North East. Cheers Mike.

    Unused track guides normaly got thrown in the side bins, military vehicles have rubber track pads so its not metal on metal, As for the work lights on the side, they never really got used. The legs under the bed could be adjusted for height. Trailer spare wheels x2 underneath x1 tractor on the goose neck, A pain in the arse to get up and down to change.

      Hello John, Thanks for the information, I thought the track guides would be hidden somewhere but hey I've glued the buggers on now. A couple of people have told me about the spare wheel for the tractor but the kit didn't come with spare for the tractor so I can't really change it. Must have been a hell of a job getting those big old tractor wheels up and down. Cheers Mike.
