Should probably update this as the AI has gotten a lot better. I have footage on my own channel that shows this.
Thanks from me for doing this also. My NLR F-GT Elite 160 is on the way and I had not previously considered the issue you identified with the actuators hitting the angled wheel deck supports. Thinking about it some more after watching the video a solution is to attach a section of 40-80 or 40-120 to the side of the base rail and mounting the actuators to that. I have seen a number of people do it on the front of a Track Racer cockpit where the front section is narrower than the back so the actuators sit the same width as the rear ones. On the NLR you would need to do it for all four actuators to keep side to side spacing the same front and back, but otherwise I think it would be fine.
What stearingwheel is that
Nice setup 🎉
Where’d you find it on sale?
I got it on the Samsung Website for $1300. Unfortunately the deal has ended.
The 57” monitor is behind the Fanatec DD2 but why not just after the wheel where the front little Fanatec logo is, just before the DD2 oled display ? Then the monitor sides would warp more for even more immersion…? Some other simracer has it just behind the wheel and looks also nice. I ask because I’m also gonna buy this ultrawide 57”. Currently on triples 27” 1080p but hate the bezels and distortion even hate the Asus bezel free kit. So with 57” ultrawide all that is solved. Only have RTX 2070 Super so iRacing not 4K but 1440p and some settings down to get good FPS.
It might be because of the motion platform

Is it G-Sync compatible ?
It only has AMD Freesync but in the Geforce control panel I'm able to select the Gysnc option and it appears to work.

Do you race on iRacing ? If yes how does it look there HDR wise ?
I'll have some answers early next week. I was changing my seat around and took off the plastic covers on the profile and hit my knee on it and cut it pretty badly so I've been out of commission since Sunday night.
@@ashcountach1684 Oh that’s sad news ! Hope for a fast recovery my man ! 👍
I was not prepared for this! You can head the engine a little bit but other than that. its really quiet! noce
Are you considering upgrading to the Dk6? Specially since you do alot of WRC
I'm really tempted, but the rig isn't designed in a way that I could easily mount them in the same place as the DK2+. The pedal bracket is mounted on the outside of the rig so it limits the placement options. I would have to buy some extra profile and mount that to the rig and then mount the actuators to those.
Can you elaborate a little more on the DK6 mounting comment you made? Do you regret not going for the DK6? I’m on the fence so trying to decide…
They released the Heave 2.0 update to the software and it is a huge improvement for every type of racing. Going over bumps or hills feels awesome now so the extra 4inches of travel you would get from the DK6 would be that more immersive. I am tempted to upgrade, but I would have to make some major changes. If I had a different rig then I probably would have upgraded already. With the F-GT Elite I could not mount them where I have the DK2+ mounted as they are too tall for the front position. I would have to buy 2 extra pieces of extrusion longer than the width of the rig, around 4 feet each. I would have to attach those to the front and rear of the rig then mount the DK6 to those pieces. The rig would now look a bit strange and extend out further which really isn't a big deal to me, but does make walking around the rig a small hazard. Also the weight of the rig wouldn't be equal between the actuators so you would lose a bit of pitch which isn't a big issue since you have more travel but it's not ideal. I knew of these issues when I bought the rig and should have waited for the P1X to be back in stock but I was a bit impatient.
Did you ever get to try a Dbox system? I tried the 4250i today and it blew me away…. Especially the haptics! I have buttkickers now and the haptics in the dbox destroyed it…. Wondering how good the haptics are on the dk2.5
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to try the Dbox system. The Haptics of the DK2+ are pretty good and so far I haven't felt the need to install my buttkickers.
Thanks for the video! Since then Moza announced a truck wheel with table clamp to mount it like a truck wheel so I’m going with that on this cock pit.
Awesome! How does the motion feel compared to other titles like AC, WRC etc. ?
With the new Heave 2.0 update to the software the motion is so much better in every game. WRC feels great and going over jumps and the impact of landing is much improved. For ACC and other track type racing it adds another dimension to the motion. When you are on the track and you go over elevation changes in the road it picks up the subtilties of that motion which makes it feel more life like. The great thing about Sigma is that they develop their own software so they are constantly getting feedback from the community and actually listen to their customers.
I currently have the NLR motion v3 with the same FGT Elite…. How does the DK2+ compare? Is it worth double the price of the v3?
@ashcountach1684 0 seconds ago A very good question. I've haven't posted my impressions yet of the DK2+ because I was waiting on the Heave 2.0 update they just introduced into the software. The only thing I thought the V3 did better was the feeling of going over jumps in Rally racing. On the V3 it felt like I was floating in the air after going over a jump and then the awesome impact when you landed. The DK2+ just didn't have that same feeling, it wasn't as impactful and felt lacking. With the Heave 2.0 update that has changed. I'm still tweaking the settings, but so far it's very close to the V3 in that respect. The huge plus however is that Heave 2.0 improves all racing disciplines so regular track racing feels amazing. Heave 2.0 adds a nuance to the motion that really gives you a sense that you are in a real car. It's truly amazing. Is it worth double the V3? It is a huge investment so it does make it tough to answer. To me yes it was worth it. One of the main reasons is build quality. My V3 makes a slight squealing noise at certain times and NLR sent me a video on how to fix it. The instructions aren't that hard but having to take it apart just wasn't that appealing to me. I did fix one side and the issue came back shortly so I decided to move to the DK2+. The DK2+ is solid and the company is very open and if there are any issues they are quick to reply on Discord so I have no real concerns about this lasting many many years. I hope to have an impressions video of the DK2+ in a couple of weeks and I'll have more comparisons with the V3 in that.
Interesting… I have had my v3 for 7 years with no issues…. Still going strong to this day.

Can the wheel be tilted like a truck steering wheel? Looking to get this frame for American Truck Simulator
I have the DD2 mounted using the side brackets and the base is sitting level. There is about an inch of travel that you can use to tilt the base forwards or backwards. I'm not sure if that will be enough for you or not. You may be able to use some shims under the mounting brackets so you can get a bit extra tilt. I'll try and make a quick video tomorrow with the wheel tilted so you can see.
If you could make a video showing the wheel tilt possibilities that would be great!
I uploaded the video to my other channel by mistake over a week ago and just noticed so I've uploaded it in the correct place now. Sorry about that.
Get to the point..
The best thing Fallout 4 had going for it was the enemy AI. They couldnt even get that down.
Thanks for making this video. I have the same rig and plan on buying one of the dk motion systems. Would you say 2" of travel is plenty to experience motion? Ive heard less is more with regards to motion systems.
I had a hard time deciding between the DK2, DK2+ and the D-box Gen 5. The 2 inches of travel of the DK2 was the main reason I went with the DK2+ over the D-box which is 1.5 inches. I chose the DK2+ over the DK2 mainly because of the beefier actuators and the weight it supports(800lbs) even though my rig with me on it is under the 500lbs limit of the DK2. The motion settings go up to 10 on the sliders and I have just about all of them set under 5 with smoothing and it throws me around easily with just the 2 inches of travel. Motion can also be a bit tiring on the body especially if you are older. It's kind of like moving up to a direct drive wheel. When you first get one you crank up the settings to see how much force it can put out but after a couple of laps you begin to realize that too much force is overkill and back down the settings so you can get through a 20 lap race. I did think about the DK6. At the time they were out of stock, but the biggest reason was because of the Elite rig. In order to mount the DK6 you would have to get 2 pieces of profile and put them on the ends of the rig and then mount the actuators to those. To mount them in the location I put the DK2+ in would make the rig way too high. The extra 4 inches of travel would be nice especially for flight simulators and for rally racing, but I'm very happy with the 2 inches the DK2+ provides. I'll make a video and show the differences between the settings at the low vs high so you can see the range of motion the system provides.
why didn't you just remove the 2 screws from rear corners and thread them back through both the actuator and corner?
You can do that and I actually did that for one of them and I sliced my finger pretty badly on the exposed profile when I was tightening one of the bolts and my hand slipped. They provide the slot in T-nuts which are pretty easy to use so that is why I suggested that route. Also if you put loctite on those bolts when you first built it you may not want to break the seal.
Nice setup. Do you feel the need of buttkickers with these actuators for vibration?
Not really, the haptics do a great job of giving me the vibrations I need. I didn't have a huge buttkicker setup before though so you may depending on how much vibration you are used to.
i removed all the buttkickers from my rig when i got the DK system. No need for them as the motion system does the job of all of it.
Thanks!!!!@@blacknovella

Has anyone figured out how to make the game recognize the controller again if the game loses focus (alt-tabbing, using second monitor, etc.) Just started using reWASD again for horizontal boost and I noticed if I go to another window for a second, when I come back to the game, the controller doesn't work anymore. Only way I've found to fix this so far is to restart the game which is kind of annoying. My options so far are either that or not using rewasd.
Question: How are you connecting your Roland kit to the PS4 or PC? Thanks.
I connect my Roland kit to the Xbox one using the official adapters which are extremely expensive now. You can connect the Roland to the PC for Clone Hero just by using the USB cable from the module to the PC.

whenever I have the mapping enabled starfield doesn't recognize the controller?
So what I do is make the config Auto-Start with the game. Start Starfield then alt-tab out to the Rewasd program and pull up the Starfield mapping. Click the dart board looking circle near the bottom and that should open a window to add the game to. Since you have Starfield running you can click add active process and find the Starfield.exe and choose it and hit ok then save. You can alternately click the .exe and then navigate to the Starfield.exe. You should now see, Will be applied to Slot 1, message next to the circle on the bottom left. Now when you start Starfield it will load up the Starfield Profile in Rewasd.
THANK YOU! I'm a newbie trying to learn rewasd! I am so confused! I see I can just load in a mapping. Is it possible to load in your mapping? I might be able to reverse engineer your settings to learn the rewasd programming. Your the first one that I've found to have ANY mapping for this game. I truly, TRULY appreciate your help!
Once my ID is verified I'll be able to put the link to the config in the description soon. I I did make a big change to the config that I need to make a video of. It involves switching weapons. Since the favorite select is 3 items in each section I changed the face buttons to make that easier. Example for the A button, while holding down the swap mode key if you press the A button you get the first weapon in the slot, if you double press the A button you get the second slot and if you hold down the A button you get the 3rd slot. It's the same for all the other face buttons so you can select all slots with just the four face buttons. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

Hey, I'm wondering how did you secure your 49" super ultra wide on this monitor stand. It's quite heavy. Is the stand able to take the weight?
I have the Obutto Triple Monitor stand and it's able to hold the monitor and 2 speakers easily without any other support. I have it pulled out about a half way so it's a sturdy stand.

To attach the NLR to the rest of the Rev 3 base I used a Zinc-Plated Punched Square Tube that you can find at any home improvement store. It has holes in it so you just need some bolts to attach it to the NLR and the Rev 3. It's easy to do and pretty sturdy. To attach the seat you have to either modify the holes on the NLR, like I did, or make an adapter which is harder to do than I anticipated.
