I bought a similar machine online for $20 and used it for the first time yesterday. Worked perfectly but the first and last piece tend to be deformed. Remove them if you want but if you don't they're just as delicious as the perfect ones.

Yes it works well with gnocchi
Yes and no. If you like soft gnocchi (more potato than flour) it will not work. If you make hard ones (more flour than potato) then yes, but you will have to experiment with the proportions.
Whats the difference between cavatelli and gnocchi?
Gnocchi traditionally has potato in the dough, cavatelli does not.
Excellent product! Just need to remember to flour the metal component before putting the pastry on top.

I figured out the oozing issue coming from my too large around pasta being fed into the rollers. Thanks for the suggestion about draining the ricotta. I’ll do that before I make a batch on Monday next.
Why does some of my ricotta cavatelli dough ooze out of the space between the top roller and the edge of the cutter housing? Is my dough too wet?
