how soft the first 3 strings in the 96c kit? Im heaving a trouble pressing 1st bars on my guitalele with the default strings that it has... im wondering will this 96c ones be much softer?

They both have a good sound -- but for me the Irish Bouzouki provides a more likeable all-round sound. That said for Greek music Their original version of the Bouzouki just 'fits'.

So, on that one you have to mic it to pick up the snare sound?

The 96c set is great or 17"guitalele in G# or A, but is also great for 20" guitalele (Codoba Mini M) in F or F#! 😎👍 And today it's less expansive than 4-5 years ago (about 10€) 😃

And as for the instrument itself, the Greek bouzouki must be coaxed it to produce its optimal sound. This is not easy, but so rewarding once done well. Yet, without question, the Irish take should be regarded as evolutionary, destined to travel far and wide and conquer the hearts of those it encounters in its journey.

Yes, the genealogy is the difference. Bandolim - arose from portuguese guitar. Mandolin - arose from violin in USA and Canada and was shaped as a trying to get a violin without bow, using just the hands. As we can see, the mandolin is a hidden fiddle, which discharged the bow.

I prefer the VHD, on and off, over the dry or six. Fuller and more depth, still presence. Transients are a bit smoother and more listenable. Sounds closer to a “record”. Clean and six would take more work to “get there”
