Good that's the size house I'm going to build Good 👍
Make it 2 m longer!
How do you pay by check are cash payment's
Cash only!
I think it's great to build your own place. I wouldn't do it as I would rather rent. It's going to take a long time to recoup 30k. Perhaps you have children who can enjoy the benefits. Anyways, great video.
Former filipino can own a land by inheritance. Or if you are dual citizenship.
Where did you bought the granite? At the bathroom?
Hi, there is no granite in the Bathroom. However, everything you see we bought at the Triumph Depot, near the ICM in Bohol.
@@livinginthephilippines359 thank you.
Congratulations 🎉
Lots of cheap rentals out there just one caveat, you get what you pay for in the Philippines. Low$ means low standards. Trust me we have traveled here for more than 30 years.
Travelled here as a tourist or long-term stay? Not everybody has the money to pay high rents. You get what you pay for, yes, but as for the house I rent in the video for 5K/month, it was very good for what I paid for.
@livinginthephilippines359 If you feel it's good, that's what matters not what I think. Was just giving my opinion after years in the country.
Now that it is complete, you have been on your finished house for a time, how happy are you with your contract company? Happy with the quality of their craftsmanship and so forth?
Yes, very happy! I am planning to make another video about what went wrong after almost 1 year and some mistakes we made in the planning.
@@livinginthephilippines359 That's great news!
that is not too bad actually. In Jagna, Bohelo 2, we ran our split only at night, and inverter type, and our monthly bill came to roughly 4700 php. During the day using only fans even thought it is pretty hot inside the house
This simp is useless
I would like to talk to you 🙏🏽✌️ I have interest in the Philippines 🇵🇭
Love to connect mate , I have interest in building there 🙏🏽
Why is all interior lighting in the Philippines so pure white? It looks like a bug light is in your house. Warm light is much more pleasant.
Well Yes, that's what the Filipinos like. The set of LED lamps was included in the package. But I think the light is not 100% daylight-white but almost.
Just want to know if there is a office around baliuag bulacan phil to renew
Oh the joy of seeing all that shitty blockwork with joints varying from an eighth of an inch to 4 inches with render and worst is to hope that the ebegging covers the whole cost of the build.
Yes standards are 😢, maths is even worse, Pirates every where. O lolo thanks, for everything, 😊
Let us know in 5 years if you still have your house.
Will do, if I am still alive and if there is no serious earthquake or Typhoon in the meantime.
Your house is really nice my friend
Please make a nice garden for this house
Your house will look very nice if make a swimming pool
I am married to a Filipino and she is the best wife and mother I could ask for... it will be my honour to build her a house ❤❤
@@Ilovecats1702 That's only because you were a virgin when you met her
Happy New Year! Continued success and good health in 2025...
mine runs about 7000 month with 24/7 aircon in one bedroom only and 2 refrigerators. plus lights of course..
I live in a 4 bedroom with 4 aircons. My monthly with the water pump is 6500 pesos
We're building a house soon and probably have split units in a few rooms that will have insulated walls and ceilings to contain the coolness. A better door and double glaced windows in those rooms also a must. That will keep the unit work less and efficient. Definitely no window units. They are the worst
I know the window units only from the hotel rooms and they are mostly worn out and noisy. I wonder how they would perform in a privat room with proper maintenance and taken care of.
dang...I don't use any A/C and my bill has not been lower than 6k monthly. Just electric fans. I'm afraid if I use the A/C 1 day my bill will double.
6k without A/C sounds expensive to me. And yes, it will double with the A/C
I use a 0.5 Kw aircon in only one small combined working and sleeping room. It feels only nice and comfortable to walk out from the "cold room" to the hot part of the apartment. I also have a combined fridge and freezer. The electric bill is still always under 1.000 pesos per month. (Luzon) I also turn off the aircon in the "cold room", when I'm not using it. For me it feels just more comfortable and it is also much cheaper to just have one such "cold room" and then let the rest of the apartment follow the outdoor temperature. I think it is hard to have the heat around you all the time, so you cant escape, but when you have the option of cooling down when you want to, than it is just nice.
Paint the outer walls on the sunny side of the house with Cambridge ceramicoat heat reflective paint. You will be amaized how cool the wall stays. I dont work for the company. I used their products on my slab roof and wall.
In the Philippines?
This is very interesting information. It is so difficult to judge how much your electric bill may be. So many things, like size of house, number of refs and freezers, air cons, water pumps, exactly how many hours you run those appliances. Also the different price per kwH every month which goes up and down according to the agreements of your local electric company with the suppliers. So, all in all, your excellent comentary is a very big helpful advice to all of us foreiners living in the Philippines. Pls make another video on cost of driving and maintaining your car. Of course there will be some difference between a multicab and a Fortuner.
Wow. Very good. I could never get under 20 kw a day. Also get it cleaned once or twice a year. They get dirty. It's about 800 Pesos to have it cleaned...
Excellent. I am a new subscriber now. Thank you! I lived in Dumaguete for 11 months and saw how expensive electricity is in the Philippines. I live in Canada and our electricity rates are relatively low by comparison with the ultra low rate at about 1 peso/kWh. I will return to Philippines to live permanently in 3 years. This is very good info.
That's not bad. We stayed for 4 months in Pangasinan and the highest electric bill was 4,200 pesos for a month.
As long as you are close to an electrical meter for hookup. Otherwise you get line loss and higher consumption to compensate. A voltage regulator helps. Dual inverter is a good way to go. Don’t need aircon this time of year until March.
From the Meter to the house, the line is about 40 Meters long. However, the line is very thick, and I don't think that's causing a problem. I am actually surprised that the bill is still below 4K PHP.
Seems good to me. Do you have both run at same time?
Yes, 1 is running almost 24/7 the other one maybe half day.
If you live 30 years in the tropics you don't need Aircon maybe only sometimes when it's very hot..... I disconnect from the electric supplier because of the many brownouts and the strange costs of the bills.... I am off grid since 2 years and use only solar electric what prevents brownout and a monthly payment....
I live in the tropics since 1990 and never used an aircon. But since I have it, I don't want to miss it anymore. Solar is also coming soon.
Stay in a hotel, completely all in,bills, electricity, everything, , air con, wi fi ,hot water, generator if brown outs , and breakfast in the morning, Why not, rent a house, but all the aggravating things that go with it, no thanks, less worry, plus everything to hand , any issues, call hotel staff, problem solved,
Are you married to a Filipina? How long you want to live like that?
Very affordable and worth it.
The wires and the roofs are very very expensive
Be careful some of those are fake title land
You cant buy a house cause u cant own it
You can buy a house and rent the land it stands on!
@livinginthephilippines359 so when the lease is finished u pick the house up and take is somewhere else?
Merry Christmas 🎄 Another enjoyable video. When I retire in 2026, a plan on renting something for a few months while I check out which island or area I like most. After that, I’ll look to rent a house for 6 months while I settle in…the last step will be to build something, but to do that I’ll need to get lucky like you, and find the right Filipina ❤ My fingers are crossed that I do! 🤞🏻
I’m thinking it’s safer to just rent, preferably long term, flexible and comfortable, as to buying or build, so many hoops to cross and jump through, plus the fact if all does not work out for you and your partner, you lose your house, hard work and money all gone. IMO, Safer to rent and see out your agreement, possibly extend it also, but if all comes to a head, ok ,time to move on and move forward with your life and plans. Thank you for your advice and thoughts.
Danke dir für das sehr informative Video. Es gibt viel zu beachten und zu bedenken. Habt einen schönen und besinnlichen 4. Advent.

Guess the delivery system is screw up...need to take note of this...under the unreliable service category.
Who did you ship with and how long did the shipment take?
Are you German? I ship this with a German Balikbayan Company at: www.happybox.info directly to Cebu. However, you have to look for a BB Service in your own country. From Germany it takes about 6 to 8 weeks for the boxes to arrive.
@@livinginthephilippines359 Yes, I am German. Since this is an English channel I thought it would be appropriate to use the English language. . .
Alles gut, kein Problem. I also have a German Channel with more or less the same videos. If you want to send the boxes to Cebu and Visayas, you can use the www.happybox.info or for more info: www.philippines4ever.de/balik-bayan-boxen.html

If you go with solar be sure to get some battery storage you can even make your own battery storage plenty of RUclips videos on how to do it.
Great you got your boxes, but a long wait
The house looks good!
Nicely done. I built a small house (27sqm) with family, local labor, run by an experienced Mason as an experiment to see how well they would do. It blew my mind. The only complications we had was needing to fire the assistant Mason. 3 months to build. 9,000 pesos psm, but no expensive finishes; only painting and linoleum floor. Pipe from cr to septic. But it's a little gem.
