Listen, I’ll double up you money and give you $200 for it!🤣🤣 if you get tired of it I am interested. Seriously save my number
I no longer own this vehicle. It now belongs to my nephew.
It is so beautiful but I want to see the inside.
go to John Valasquez channel.❤
Hello there!
Hello T welcome aboard!
Hello there!
Hello there!
Beautiful work all the way around. Very nice coach!
Thank you very much for the kind words
Good fixer upper
7:43 doggy says: that's still way too much! 😃
I guess it would be ok if you had 10K laying around, and a mechanic in your back pocket! lets see the update!
Thanks for sharing your experience, I have to replace the Trans in my 70 Eldorado and hope it goes as well as your job did. My custom Studebaker truck uses the complete frame and running gear from the Cadillac.
It's crazy how this RV is the one from Spies like US, this RV brings back memories from that movie.
New gas and plugs and start fluids

Terrible laryngitis! 😂
Fantastic! Back when GM made good, reliable engines.
So the high pitch squeal at the end is small leak from air bag controls. Cleaned up the points, bypassed the fuel tanks to a gas can, changed the oil with mobile 1 full synthetic. Started right up , was pretty thirsty for gas, couple pumps and it fires up.
Learned Absolutely Nothing From This Video. Total Waste Of Time
Just did mine, new master and booster. I think the water runs off the rig and drips on the master cover. Not sure how it gets by the rubber seal. Be sure to check your slave cylinders. You may want to put a vacuum on your booster to check for leaks while you are in there. PS - It is not easy to get to the four nuts on the backside of the booster. Unless you have edited your dash.
Thank you, Brad you are verry correct on all points.
Some owners take a plastic 2 liter bottle, cut it in half, and use that to keep rain from running into the master cylinder.
After all that work, why didn't you replace the bearings and seals?
The previous owner did that when he replaced the emergency brake cables. I did however, clean everything and re-grease the bearings. The seals were fine.
I have heard of it before but have never seen Blinker Fluid in real life before. Thanks for showing us, now I know what the mechanic is talking about. ROFL!
That is in awesome condition and doesn't reflect the price at all. What a beautiful coach! Lots of TLC and your nephew will be on a winner. A good jet spray and hard work and that will shine! I Subbed because I want to see what happens to it along the road to recovery. Please keep us in touch with how the work progresses. PS: Yes, I like the work you are doing on yours, fine work, but I want to see this shorty come back to life.
Thank you, friend, we are planning to do a "will it run" type video. He is getting his parts together.
Will start working on it soon. Saving some money for it right now
is the pump noticably loud?
No not really, it's as quiet as a mouse.
Great deal...no way to pass that up!
THANK YOU
Nice. I have a 73 Canyon lands 260. Make sure you: Rebuild the 455 engine, transmission and final drive with new engine cooling system. Rebuild the electrical system with new 100amp Alternator, isolator and what-the-heck a combiner plus two or three new batteries, drop the gas tanks, clean and reinstall with new gas lines, New gas fill-tube rubber. Change the NiChrome wire under the dash. Change the AC/DC charger/convert to modern, new house water pump, Replace fresh water and black water tank, new toilet and add a macerator, Replace all the copper water lines with modern stuff, new cook top range and oh yeah, furnace. Then the steering joint, front knuckles and disc brakes with bushings and ball joints. Now get a new AC unit for the roof and change the cabin AC system for new refrigerant components plus add an additional cooling unit under the dash. Lose the 16.5 wheels and get new 16" wheels and tires (every four years) plus a new spare. New airbags, shocks and rear brakes (hope the pins are okay) Now you are ready for the interior

Man, I thought I got a good deal on mine at $3500
So did I, that Caddy is a Baddie.
Just imagine how time consuming it will be when you finally start to video the actual work!
Good job....having that trans jack and the tall stands made all the difference. Looking forward to the test drive.
Going back in is always where the real fun begins....sometimes leads to unfinished projects, good luck
When is the next video with the nephew part 2.
You could get $100 every month from a homeless person with a pension
I don't see ANY leaks. If it doesn't leak your ahead of the game and $100 is a GOOD deal!!! ✌️🏳️🌈✌️
No rodents?
No evidence
You saved the previous owner the disposal fee and paid him a hundred bucks. 😂
Not sure the dude knew what to do with it. he just knew it was too nice to send to the crusher, so my nephew decided to save it.
@@Spiritof76-cx8fv well it's time to dig in and gat to work then. Deep clean from the chassis to the roof top. Go through the entire mechanical system. It'll make a groove resto mod. 👍
Sweet. Got yourself a sub.
That is always a plus. Right On ! ++++
So cool!
Glad you picked it up! I would have a hard time passing it up as well.
That compass below the drivers window is worth the price you paid for the coach!
it's an outside thermometer, classic and much sought after.
Is Manny a vendor?
As soon as he said, "I'm looking to get a $1000.00 for it", I would have said "SOLD"!!!!!
What a find!
Manual says it takes 6 quarts. and I've heard most run 5-5.5 due to not having a windage tray - helps with oil burn.
I have heard that, It was the first oil change since I've had it I let it drain for 24 hours. The old oil looked like leukemia coming out.
What is the advantage of a Ragusa pan? Or is it obvious because of the fins keeping the transmission fluid cooler?
Correct! What's more than that, it has provision for temp sensor and drain plug as well as a larger fluid capacity.
Where is the rear motor/trans mount bracket?
Next video friend. I still have a lot to do before this is finished but a good catch.
@@Spiritof76-cx8fvcan you please put Manny’s information on your channel

Nice to see that my cousin Manny is still hard at work, have you seen his 6.5 diesel conversion on his Motorhome.
No Sir, but we did discuss it over the telephone. It sounds impressive.
You are aware that checking the oil on the transmission requires the engine be running in park or neutral not engine off. Also - burnt smell - yeah it likely burnt the 3rd gear clutches - which is also reverse. I just bought a 76 Palm Beach this last fall. appears to have been redone - so Im hopefull I won't have engine/trans issues for a while. I also have fuel inject - dynamic EFi Gm throttle body.
True, I did check the level as you described, it was fine. However, I did go home before I purchased the unit. I am reluctant to throw any shade. I wish you many happy travels with your Palm Beach.
I check my oil just like that, but one side of the dipstick shows over a quart low while the other side shows several inches past full! What gives??
The metal transmission cooling lines provide an electrical ground for the radiator to prevent electrolysis. If you are going to use rubber lines instead of metal, you need to provide a way to electrically bond the radiator to the engine block. While you have your battery wires out, you might want to run the positive wire from the starter directly to the battery + terminal. This will shorten the wire carrying the high current starter power by about 3 ft. Its enough to notice the starter will spin the engine faster. Originally the exhaust manifolds were bolted directly to the heads with no gaskets for maximum heat transfer. If your manifolds and heads are flat with no pitting, you can get a copper gasket from Dave Lenzi that will provide good heat transfer. Remflex gaskets can seal pitted and slightly warped manifolds, but the exhaust manifold will run hotter, so it shortens the manifolds life before cracking. I've had a Remflex on one side for several years and still going strong.
Love these rigs, but it's just a hot mess under the hatch. Takes a lot of the fun out of working on them. Just a lot going on up front. Looking good!
I noted the bracket supporting the transmission dipstick tube was held in place with a hose clamp. Mine was too as the spot welds originally holding the bracket to the tube were broken and tore holes in the dipstick tube. This was causing a transmission fluid leak out the holes, down the tube and onto the pan. You might want to check your tube for holes where the bracket was welded. I brazed the holes in mine and smoothed out the broken welds on the bracket and fastened the bracket to the tube again with a hose clamp.
Thank you for this observation. I haven't gotten to cleaning this part yet. After reading your comment I immediately went and checked the filler tube for holes. I am happy to report that I only have 4 dimples and no holes. I checked with a light and some very small drill bits. Wow, I very likely may have missed that.
