Thanks so much for sharing so much wisdom applied in your life !!! I loved it and needed the encouragement today. Fresh renewed determination
Absolutely love the podcast. Listen to it on my way to work and when doing housework. Makes both very enjoyable!
This is from a long-time SGI member: Another way to look at karma is that it is everything that makes you who you are. Your beliefs, your dreams and goals, your likes and dislikes, your nature and attitude, your skills and abilities, your courage and fears, your physical being and health, your home and culture, your friends and family... These all influence your thoughts, words, and actions; they determine the way you live, the direction of your life, and the causes you make. In return, the effects are manifested in your life and your environment. The more you chant, the better you can clearly visualize your life and your karma -- both good and bad -- as reflected in the Gohonzon. Then, by working to strengthen the positive attributes and remove the negative attributes of your life, you can change your karma for the better. It takes courage to do so, but never doubt that you have within you the power and ability to do this. As you do so, this growing belief in your own potential and that of others is what faith means in Buddhism.
Hi, I’m a Japanese member of SG and I’ve been practicing Nichiren Buddhism for over two decades. I’m loving these interviews! All the stories shared in the videos are moving and inspiring, and they truly attest to the benefits people can gain from Buddhist practice. I would love to share this amazing content with other Japanese members and with people who are considering starting the practice. I’m sure these stories will encourage many to give Buddhism a try. However, most Japanese people don’t understand English. Do you have plans to add Japanese subtitles to these videos? If not, I would be happy to help with the translation alongside some friends. Although we are busy with our business, we are willing to contribute, even if it takes some time. Please contact us and let us know if adding subtitles would be possible.
i'm so happy to know this channel. i'm a Japanese SOKA member. I feel so good listening to you all. Thank you for giving me this channel! Please keep it long!

Thank you for sharing. NMRK NMRK NMRK ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You guys are amazing!! 🙏🙏
To Alex: I am an American living in Tokyo and was diagnosed with cancer in July, 2024. An unlikely source produced your story and I watch it often just like chanting. I cry every time I watch this video and it gives me power to beat this and "crush it like a little piece of paper" to borrow your words 😊 Thank you and congratulations on your total remission. That is as it should be my friend 🙏 To the cotent maker -thank you for your excellent documentary here - you should submit this to a contest!!! P.S. As I am a lover of music I would like to request a way to access Alex's beats - PEACE!
I am at work, alone, here, I put this on to listen to as I often do listen to Buddhability. Ray, you touch my heart, and you honestly blow my mind! I’m 74 years old, I’m straight, had four beautiful daughters and ended up divorced three times. I started chanting 42 years ago, and I think everything you’ve said has been a part of my life too. All the help and love from others who chant have made me self reflect and build myself up to be who I am, who I always have been. I Always send Daimoku Of gratitude to the brave ones who made me go back to the Gohonzon And look it straight in the face, You know my mirror. Well you’ve just brought it all around and I find you absolute wonderful human being. Maybe even a superhuman! :-). We are all superheroes!
Beautiful thank you ❤
Very Powerful!!!
I am following Pa-Auk Tawya. I want to share that we will see how karma works if we practice enough to see the past lives. The last appeared Karmar will cover entire next life resultant. And that is the beginning changing of the view. Especially, wee will see non-self if we can see the trillion times arising and vanishing per second of the smallest form and mind by the insight-meditation. That's how we really need to attain Nibbana.
Really wanted to hear what Orlando had to say but both him and the interviewer’s incessant use of the word “like” and “you know” was extremely off-putting. Sign of the times I guess.
Great interview 🙏🏼 Could someone please point out the book(s) that are mentioned?
Paaaaaiiiiiggge!!! My girl!! Love you so much! Thank you for this great experience! Can't wait to see you again!💜💜💜
I've been an SGI-USA🇹🇩🇺🇲member for nearly 25 years and I've met a lot of fortune babies like Yoko. One of them said to me "Being a fortune baby isn't all it's cracked up to be!!" She was right. The one common thing among nearly all of them is that they all needed time to find their footing in the practice and awaken to their own unique missions in life. Yoko has accomplished this beautifully and will surely inspire others.
Ray, I was kinda sorta introduced to Buddhism in Columbus also. I went to visit my friend for New Year. They brought me to a party, and everyone there was Buddhist. I was shocked. No one tried to share the practice with me. When I got home I told my friends about this experience. My shakbuku immediately told me about NMRK. It took me until April to finally go to a meeting, and the key opened my heart. I got my gohonzon on June 21, 2006. I am so happy. I really enjoyed your experience.
Thank you for the motivation. NamMyohoRengeKyo SGI ☺️✨🌙💐
This was wonderful
Such a valuable and inspiring life story. Thank you so much for sharing it. It encourages me to chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo.
Thank you p, excellent and concise explanation. I've been practicing for 38 years. This is a very self empowering practice for oneself, one's community and environment.
Thank you so much for your openness and honesty!
I feel very encouraged by this interview. Thank you so much! Greetings from Brazil!
I am so happy to hear this!! I hope I get to go to Brazil one day, such an amazing country!! 🙏
😊🙏🏾
Ray... Tq for your sharing. Appreciate your courage ❤️🤝
Thank you so much! 🙏
Step two
I would be a little more shocked if somebody broke there back at least I’m not the only one nobody cares about
Ray, thank you so much for being open about your experiences and coming into this practice. I can personally attest to a lot of the thoughts you shared here. The experience of transition has been a deeply spiritual exercise for me, and also overlaps with my coming into Buddhism. It's incredible not to feel so alone in what has until now felt like a niche and isolating narrative. <3
Very good experience. Thanks Yoko.🙏🏾🇨🇮
Ray!!! Thank you for sharing your experience! You inspire me so much! -Jesse in Dayton
Thank you so much, Jesse! I am so grateful to know you and practice with you! 🙏
Did she just c*m?

Thank you for the story. This video really touched my heart and it is a really teaching moment for me. I started chanting and studying meet you and Buddhism six months ago and it’s kept me or has been keeping me grounded and more positive, and I take the teachings to heart.
