You had the chance and missed it. You said it has a hard time blending into places in the United States.. you should have said planet lol I wore that shit for 6 years waiting for the moon or gravel pit war zone to happen
Acu is super cheap too
Cool video
You done with Themtube?
@declineofthewest. No. Every time I think I found a good topic I find out that there's already 1000+ videos about it and I'm not sure anyone wants to listen to another. I should be posting more very shortly.
I was on a camp w my ucp uniform, and on gravel paths at night i was almost invisible, sooo ise ucp ONLY in urban enviroment because i was in the woods w it and its really shitty
This is the best dye job I’ve seen on UCP. Saw a guy use just apple green and it looked like a knock off Russian EMR pattern. Lol not trying to get mistook for a commie any time soon. I’m going to try this with the Air Force tiger pattern. Should look bad nasty good.
UCP doesn’t blend in with any environment in the word except the gravel you are standing on. It was a total mistake. Doesn’t look too bad when it’s absolutely covered in sweat and dust though.
The ucp looked like it was the best for the asphalt lol
So where'd you go?
Well spoken video. Nice to see other regular guys stepping out. You should double check the fit on your carrier, it looks a little low.
Great video, coming at you from North Central PA.
Does the dye add any thermal irradiance?
Good stuff, bro
It sort of reminds me of ukrainian camo
Have you done any gore-tex material and if so, will it damage the gore-tex? Thanks!
It looks pretty good imo. THANKS FOR THE INFO Have you tried leaving it in longer and seeing if it has an effect?
Really appreciate the color breakdown, turned out good! Just bought a battle dress shirt/pants and field jacket of ACU for $80, and definitely looking to make it a darker brown. Would you recommend skipping the dark green for more of a brown hue? I like how it turned out.
The ucp is good in romania especialy in winter
Really drives home who they thought they would invade back then
@@WhiteTrashTennessee true
not very compelling, but cool nontheless
It definitely could be a better camo, but one can’t beat the price of dyed surplus gear if you’re starting out or looking for a cheap backup rig.
@@Covert_Breakout definitely. I’m hoping I can get more of a ranger green out of my acus
@@redred333 I would leave the items in the black dye mixture a little longer then. The original foliage green on the straps now looks very close to ranger green in my example, but if you want to eliminate the brightness in the tans, you’ll have to make the whole thing darker. Hope it turns out well!
Recipe that I used: • 4 ounces (maximum) of dye • 3 Gallons of boiling hot water • 1 teaspoon of dish soap • 1 cup of distilled vinegar • Stir and soak for 30 mins. You can downsize the ratios if you are wanting to dye smaller items. For this amount of water, start with 2 ounces of Taupe, 1 ounce of Dark Green, and a half ounce of black. If you find that your pouch is too yellow and light, do brown and black in your second dye solution. Your results might vary depending on if the gear is new or faded. I would recommend only dying for 10 mins during the second round.
For doing this are you using Rit dye for specifically for synthetics? And what is the formula for the normal 2 step process? 2 oz. Dark green and 2 oz. Taupe for first round? Then 2 oz. Dark Brown and 2 oz black for second round?
4 oz of each dye or 2 oz of ea for each step?
Excellent video. You have great points for people to follow, even if they only apply it to every day life.
Thank you for the comment. We all should be as proactive in everyday life, as we are in preparations.
Hoping to see more content from your channel!
I appreciate the comment. Several ideas are in the works.
