I'm 2 minutes into this and I don't know where this teacher is going to go but I would have to say that first of all it was the Passover it's a Jewish holy day and Jewish people participated in it it was a part of the dispensation of the law and God's prophetic relationship to and with Israel. This was really a type of baptism if you will, anyone who would participate in this ritual would be identifying with Jesus, and his purpose for his coming and becoming flesh for the purpose of suffering. But even at this late moment they still didn't understand that Jesus was going to be rejected by the Pharisee Sadducees religious leaders and they would incite all of the people to cry crucify him ! crucify him! And Judas would betray him for filthy luker. And would bring about the sacrifice of the Lamb of God who would be raised the third day a sign to Israel that he indeed is the messiah , God incarnate. The body of Christ really understands through the Apostle Paul's teaching that this was God's doing, but had the princes of this world known they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory. It was hid from them for the purposes of God. The redemption of all men including the gentiles. Of which Paul is our Apostle and this is the dispensation of the grace of God the revelation of the mystery as revealed in Romans 16:25.

I’ve always wondered about books mentioned in the Bible like for example the book of kings. I have always felt like church was never quite giving us everything. But for a long time I listened to the tradition in church not to read other pieces of literature like this. If it wasn’t divinely inspired deemed by church I didn’t read it until recently. Studying history alone helps you understand the Bible more so how could this not help us understand more. Great lecture

This Heiser guy was totally clueless on who the "Watchers" are in the Bible. He gets his information of the "watchers" from the book of Enoch, which is a Jewish fable, the book is all a myth. The answer of the "decree of the Watchers" in Daniel 4:13, a person has to continue reading Daniel's interpretation and the answer of who the Watchers are is found in Daniel 4:24>>>"it is a decree of the Most High". So it is impossible for angels to be the Watchers, becasue angels are NEVER referred to as the 'Most High", the Title and Status belong to God/Elohim pointing to the Father and the Son. When looking at Daniel 4: 13, 17, and 23, Watchers/Watcher and Holy Ones/Holy One is always "PAIRED Together" meaning this is about the Father and the Son. This Lord God Himself is the ONE who the decree comes from, right from the throne of God, The Kingom of Heaven. The throne is of the Father in Heaven and the Holy One (Watcher) that came down from Heaven would be the Son (Jesus)>>>>Daniel 4:13. Remember this is all in Nebuchadnezzar's head in a dream/vision that he saw while he was laying in his bed. God would speak and communicate with Nebuchadnezzar through visions and dreams. The Bible gives NO mention of angels having authority to to have decisions and make decrees, Only the Father and Son who share in that authority make the decree that is made in Heaven that come from the Throne of God. Angels may have witnessed this in Heaven, but have NO Authority. This explains the plurality of the Watchers which would be the Father (Watcher/Holy One from the throne and the Son (Watcher/Holy One coming down from Heaven. Notice how this is written "spirit of the holy gods is IN you." Does no say "upon" or "overshadowing you.", clearly says the "Spirit" is in Daniel. As Christians we are told that the Holy Spirit never indwelt in the OT, but only in the NT. All this is in Pointing to and is in Reference to God Himself. The Father is God, The Son (Jesus) is also God. Only other time in scripture watcher is used is in Job 7:20>>> "If I sin, what do I do to you, you Watcher of mankind? Why have you made me your mark? Why have I become a burden to you?" In this passage of scripture the Watcher is God. In Summary it is very clear that the Trinity is present in Daniel 4, the Watchers/Holy Ones would be God/Elohim who are the Father and the Son (Jesus/Christ) and NOT angels, never have been, angels do NOT have Authority from the Throne and do NOT rule Kingdom of Heaven, that belongs to the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit/Spirit of God is indwelling Daniel inspiring Daniel of how to Interpret Nebuchadnezzar's vision. Sad people look to the book of Enoch, which is also called "book of the watchers" and so many are mislead, because the book of enoch is actually a "Jewish Fable., the book of Enoch is "Fools Gold", nothing more than a "Myth." People that teach angels as watchers and sons of God of the OT as angels, very much live up to what Paul writes in 2 Timothy 4. 3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.

Jesus is God, God is ONE God made up of 3 persons Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The "I said" delararation is no different than an "I am" declaration. 3. The Godhead/Trinity This is how the 3 persons within the Godhead opearate and function. Only the Holy Spirit (God) can convince a person to understand why the Son (God) has to fulfill the words that the Father (God) that were spoken by the prophet like Asaph and other prophets as well in the Old Testament. It is Said that Jesus has fulfilled over 350 prophecies of in the New Testament from the prophets from the Old Testament. Even Isaiah the prophet who wrote Isaiah 53 was the "Voice" of God in the Old Testament, so Jesus can Fulfill what was said in Isaiah 53.....Isaiah 53 is about the Crucifixion of Christ. Jesus has Ownership to both prophets Isaiah and Asaph of what they wrote and how God (Father) spoke thru them. Prophets were given the word of the Lord 4. Jesus is the word/Word become flesh John 1: 14 "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." Jesus fulfills the Law and the Prophets, Jesus says in Matthew 5:17 "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill." No super angels of a divine council were ever given the Law and the Prophets, it would be the Nation of Israel 5. To address to "die like men" In Psalm 82: 7 is Referring to those bad elders, rulers, leaders or judges within the nation of Israel that have High Authority, they favor the wicked and judge unjustly, they do not follow through with their responsibilities, duties, and do not represent God or the law, these High Officials are just men, they have High Rank so they will die like men. They are human not divine beings. God has always set up rulers within the nation of Israel and even throughout the world. In Numbers 11: 16 “So the LORD said to Moses: “Gather to Me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the elders of the people and officers over them; bring them to the tabernacle of meeting, that they may stand there with you.” 1 Samuel 8 : 1-4 When Samuel became old, he made his sons judges over Israel. 2 The name of his firstborn son was Joel, and the name of his second, Abijah; they were judges in Beersheba. 3 Yet his sons did not walk in his ways but turned aside after gain. They took bribes and perverted justice. 4 Then all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah. God has ALWAYS set up Governements in the world not just with in the Nation of Israel, Romans 13: 1 "Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God." 6. Clearly the "gods/elohim" of Psalm 82 are human judges, some even apply kings. The Old Testament has a book called Judges as well as two other books 1 Kings & 2 Kings. No book in scripture is applied to something nonhuman or angelic. Psalm 82:6 "“I said, ‘You are “gods”; you are all sons of the Most High.’.... The word "sons" used in this passage is an "Adoptive" Term for Israel, Israel was the chosen people of God. 7. Psalm 89 has NOTHING to do with Psalm 82. Hieser likes to mix those chapters together. Psalm 89 is in the heavenly and spirtual realm when Psalm 82 is on the earth and the physical world. The same logic heavenly and spiriitual would apply to 2 Chronicles 18:21 and 1 Kings 22:19-23 where it mentions a scene in heaven and the lying spirit. The heavenly hosts in scripture refers to the sun, moon and stars. In Summary The Humans are Jewish rulers in both Psalm 82 and John 10. Psalm 82 Jewish rulers like judges or even kings. John 10 Jewish rulers like pharissees. Psalm 82 would be human, NOT a bunch of super angels, like Heiser promotes. Heiser throws Jesus under the bus. Heiser CANNOT answer the question of the gods/elohim of Psalm 82 becasue Jesus has already answered the question of the god/elohim in John 10. Jesus has Ownership to the answer, since Jesus is addressing humans in John 10 the same would be humans are being addressed in Psalm 82, not a bunch of super angels of a divine council. Heiser has manipulated so many minds and has triggered the mind to think this "divine council" is non human. Jesus clearly gives us the answer the divine council is human.

Heiser is wrong on his view of Psalm 82 When a person read it in the original Hebrew, and you will see the difference between Yahweh as Elohim above all Elohim and the council itself as a lower classification of elohim. Jesus answers the lower classification of elohim (gods) in John 10: 34 35. Asaph the Prophet writes Psalm 82: 1 "God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment: Psalm 82:6 - “I said, you are gods.” John the Disciple/Apsotle writes Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), The lower class of elohim (gods) in Psalm 82 are human NOT non human/angels WHY because the word of the Lord came to Prophets, God Spoke thru Prophets to the nation of Israel/Jews (Human). The Jews were also given the Law and had the Prophets. NO nonhuman/angel is ever referred to as a Prophet in scripture or were given the Law, Of course angels are messengers in scripture, but that is it. The Law and Holy Scriptures were given to the nation of Israel/Jews NOT to non humans/angels. How God takes His place in the divine council is by the Prophet Asaph who wrote Psalm 82 and by the Law which was given to the Nation of Israel. God lifts up Prophets in the OT so Jesus can FULFILL what is written and spoken in the OT Fulfilled by Jesus in the NT. Jesus holds the answer of the "gods" (lower class elohim/gods), they are human in both Psalm 82 and John 10.
