Good information. After driving box trucks for 6 years I want my own truck business and recently decided to go this route. Following.
I’ll like to know was you doing local or regional or OTR and do you have your own broker or do you used any app ???
Thanks for this video bro. I’ve been wanting to get into hot shot for some time now , I’m in Philly so it’s tough out here , would love to connect and have you as a mentor bro I don’t know much about the industry, already have a CDL A ,
How much is commercial license plates?
Depends on the state your in. DMV or Tax office can help you out
Would you recommend starting with a 2 car trailer?
#carhauling #goodbyebeyonceknowles #Italy #cyclone🇸🇿🙏🏿
Have you ever picked up cars for a dealership from a Texas port?
I just saw you on the road the other day 😂I'm a hauler too. I let you merge over at an exit in Houston that day. Gotta look out for each other, even in traffic 😂💯💪🏿
Hahahaha yessirrrr
Nice info King ❤
Pretty dangerous pulling that three car with a single rear wheel truck. Be safe out there.
Man that $3.09 per gallon of diesel just hurts hearing it. I'm over here (not by choice) in this lame state of Washington paying $4.90 per and that's the cheapest (Costco) within a 30 mile radius of where I live! Great info shared in regards to different insights to consider when hauling with your own truck. Stay blessed!
Wouldn’t it be smart to carry and gas can around with you? And just pay for the cheaper gas in your area?
Agree, It would be, but I have a 48 gal tank and the prices only differ no more than 10 cents.
Hi, I'm looking to start a car hauling business in the next 3- 6months. However, I will own 85% of the company and I will not be a driver. My partner will own the remaining and he's CDL B w/ hazmat endorsement. Would all licensing need to be obtained his behalf?
If you have a regular pickup and a trailer start with that and build from there. Dont get discouraged. Just start.
✅
Man I love the CONTENT!!! Tell them the truth for those about to step into transportation anything!!! You have to Want It to MAKE IT!!!!
Yesssirrr
If I have a 03 f350 dually with a gooseneck is it a decent start
Yes
Good content bro. U earned a sub with me. I'm from Houston too. I gave u a follow on the gram too
Preciate it !
How much per car?
Can I bring my wife with me?? Being my own boss
Of course lol you're your own boss
Is there any way to contact you directly for questions?
Do you delivery to the ports? How do you get your cars??? Very interested in getting started. I have my cdl and all endorsements. But i want to get into car hauling! I'm out of Houston, and would like to get more information from you!
To deliver to ports you need something called a TWIC card. I book my drivers through central and super dispatch, and other load boards too. We could find you some nice routes from Houston and get you home whenever you want. Get in touch for more deets my man!
Make sure you don't give more than 3% to your brokers! Just an fyi if not do it yourself and save that money!!!! Make sure your cost to run your truck is affordable
@@emiliopanev6823what % do you take?
Yoo
Houston isn't $3.09 no more $4
Love your channel and content man. I’m Gonna get myself into the car transport game in about a year. I’m a former Air Force loadmaster so loading vehicles is my main skill. I like how you noted this is hard ass work. The money is good but the work is hard. I love it
Keep posting fam I drive out of Houston too
You forgot to mention how expensive the insurance also if your new carrier you only getting the bottom of the barrel loads. Biggest one are damages you mess up a car you pretty much moved that load for free. Car hauling is not what it used to be.
Insurance is definitely expensive! And yes your first few months will be tough getting loads but if you stay on top of getting good reviews you’ll start getting more loads. You gotta walk before you can run it takes time to get established just like any business! Also of course if you break you buy it that’s life lol.
@mitchelltruckingco can you start off hauling just on weekends to get your feet wet?
@@JohnDoe-gc1kt Yup most definitely
I used too haul freight I getting 3 car trailer I have f350 2016 dually I out houston tx iam sign on with a close home Boy they got a lane now they only got 1 driver I might be second drive I trying too make sure they stay moving cause word of mouth ain't nothing so is it a good time too get into car hauling
@@jamesbell1104 no I wouldn’t the insurance rates plus you have an old truck the rates aren’t paying good enough if you happen to have a breakdown. So many drivers leaving for this same reason. So many new guys jump in not knowing how the game works. Driving down rates even lower
The single wheel gets better gas mileage and with a dual tire you got weight restrictions also
Youll get better milegae with a dually and its more stable its meant for lot of weight single isnt
@@Henson697 it holds more weight
You can legally scale more weight on a dually than you can a srw
@@Henson697 are you talking to me , if so why are talking to me about dually , depending on the truck even if it’s a dually you will have weight restrictions
Ain’t no money out here
You might need a new lane my friend
@@mitchelltruckingco naw you new to this and misinforming the people …. I’m kool in my lane I’m. New to the cars but I been running over 20 years this car hauler will make a slave out of you no cap cars are cheap people running cars for 50 cents per mile
@@banksboy6806 losers complain and winners will find a way. Im sharing my way that i make profits weekly. Also if i’m telling you i make over 50k a month doing what you’ve been doing for 20 years and you don’t think it’s money out here then you should listen and learn something instead of hate on the next man hustle
@@mitchelltruckingco who complained ?
@@mitchelltruckingco don’t tell me what you make cause I don’t care what you make I said it ain’t no money out here don’t assume that I’m complaining are that I’m not successful, I do what I feel 50 x 12 = 600 so you make 600,000 a year You doing real good , and I only been doing the cars for six months but 600,000 a years is amazing 😏
Thanks for sharing the game playa….getting my truck in a couple months💪🏽 Stay blessed king💯
Good luck to you!
You always otr?
Yessir!
What’s a good price for insurance is 2000 a month too high
Not for first year that’s normal!
Yea is insurance the same as what they what for starting out in box truck biz? They want a million coverage and I think only progressive messes with new business
Yo first starting off ik people say look for loads of central dispatch but it’s a waiting period until u get accepted, where else could I get car loads while I’m waiting to get approved for central???
Look at master haulers
I honestly would just wait on Central. Everything els is going to be bs loads compared to CD
What about insurance, good video, thanks.
Insurance will run you about $2-$3k per month for your first year hauling. Unless you have family or someone else’s authority you can run under. Down payment is about $5-$10k so get ready to drop a decent amount.
They should have definitely put a flag at the top of that van tho.. new subscriber 💪🏽🔥
Ayee your right! Always add the flag! Thanks for subscribing!
Much respect on your hustle and grind my bro! Not surprised one bit. Keep that pedal down and the blessings coming my man. All love! 👊🏼💯💯
My Guy I appreciate it!
Just 1600 to go 1k miles? Thats beliw the $2/mi standard most owner opps have. Are you just breaking even?
The price per mile is important but that numbers significance is really based on fuel price on your route! I also never see $2 a mile on the load boards in the car hauling business. Maybe it’s different in other industries I’m not sure, but for us we more then break even every week!
@@mitchelltruckingcoIs it worth it to buy truck and trailer on loans to start business and are you able to use business credit? Also are you able to payoff equipment quickly w this line of work?
I want more of this because I want you to educate me more that's my future work when I arrive in Canada by December
I got you!
How find the loads
Gotta hop on that load board! I’ll make another Video soon on how i dispatch. Subscribe so you can stay connected!
I’m looking to get to the car hauling business. I am looking for insurance to get me going. Any advice
Insurance is the hardest part of the game. My advice is save up to put a good amount down. Most insurance companies don’t take on first year Authorities so whenever they do they tax!
Do you have to have cdl to car haul like you are
For loads under 26k pounds you don’t technically need a CDL. So for the truck i drive I don’t have a CDL but for my 5 car trailer my driver does have one.
So you make almost $800,000 a year. Seems off
There are some weeks we don’t work due to maintenance or do one trip instead of two. But that number isn’t off by much!
@@mitchelltruckingco well done 👍
Are you leased to a company?
No we aren’t!
Do you need MC #?
It’s not good to ride with one all the way to the top and nothing else on trailer
That’s why when you load up you put your lightest vehicle up top and heaviest on bottom!
@@mitchelltruckingco true but if you only have one car on trailer and it’s at the top that’s the heaviest why not have it more centered then readjust when you have vehicle #2 to balance it out
@@dreko_tv It was an inoperable vehicle so moving it after it’s been loaded wasn’t possible. But if all the cars ran yes that would be the best and safest option!
