I (fellow celiac) was watching this in a silent library and was trying not to burst out laughing. Sorry about this experience, but the hilarious storytelling makes up for it. :D

I got diagnosed a couple years ago, and all my friends would try and shove gluten in my face and then watch me fall back away from them, I get a rash if gluten even touches my skin so that was such a pain, I managed to stop them by telling them the symptoms I get, they looked traumatised by the end 😂

This is soo true, especially when they say “why don’t you just have a cheat day and eat loads of gluten”, that really bothers me

This is almost an exact reenactment of every time I am in the free from sections at stores and restaurants. 😂

Oh but I never go into the detail about how the gluten turns into a glue into my stomach sticking each individual villi down then they whip up the stomach lining for the next two weeks from one crumb of gluten I LOVE CELIAC DISEASE 😃 (help me💀)

Honestly though, some of the most complex or awkward order substitutions/changes I've taken as a server were the people WITHOUT any allergies or intolerances, just really specific preferences. As long as it's one of the 14 major allergens, it's usually super straight forward lol

Allergies are terrible when eating out. I recommend a restaurant in Prestatyn, Wales called the "torello lounge" i think?? I almost fainted when i found a massive menu entirely of gluten free food.
