both consoles have the same processor and ram, its all gonna be the same. if anything 2ds not having to run actual 3D effeects might lean it slightly quicker on 3d heavy games

If want to play Starfox Zero, pay attention. SF zero is up there with F-zero GX as one of few games that is extremely demanding on the player. What you have to do is go to training mode and experiment with controls for 8 hours at least, because they are that complicated. You can also use the minus button to Swap cockpit view to the TV screen and back again, so you don't have to use the two screens. The reason for the motion controls is that it allows you to aim independently from the direction of the ship, you can't do that in SF 64. Meaning you have more aiming options, but you have to be creative to use them. If you have friend, there's co-op mode which is less complicated than single player. Also braking lasts a bit longer in Zero than 64, which really helps to control your ship. If thats still too hard I recommend Starfox Guard, it's a tower defense game.
