Thinking about doing a smaller version like only one panel size for a rooster and a few hens
@@terryburton971 You could certainly “shorten” it and have just one panel. That is one thing I love so much about this, it’s so versatile! Various sizes and uses! We’ve had customers use them as hoop coops, as a run for existing coops, or as a stationary coop.
GOOD MORNING ☀️ HAPPY WEEKEND 🙏
Wheels look kinda small in diameter and width. Other than that, best design I've seen.
@@larryallen9404 Thank you! The wheels are small, but mighty! We tried our best to source materials to keep costs low while not sacrificing quality. These wheels are from Harbor Freight and actually work really well!
@@CottonRiverFarm You're welcome. One thing I have learned as an engineer, there is no such thing as a "perfect" design but one can still appreciate an excellent effort... Good job!
@@larryallen9404 My dad has been in the construction business since he was a teenager and my brother is a PE. Their knowledge is invaluable on builds like this! 🥰
@@CottonRiverFarm Obviously there were profound thoughts involved. Again, Good job!
@@CottonRiverFarm If in the future you decide to market your design, you definitely have an edge... Good luck to you!
Oh my goodness, the bunnies 😍
My daughter asked for a bunny for her birthday this year. We love our plush lop bun + we also have several wild bunnies that live in the yard.
I love it, but I don’t have space for it and it needs to be able to be thoroughly secured. Like N4 secured for cyclones.
@@geekchick4859 Cyclones are definitely not something we have to deal with in Georgia, USA. Tornado, severe storms, and tropical storms yes, but not cyclones!
@@CottonRiverFarm um…yeah, you do. I. The pacific they’re cyclones, Indian they’re typhoons and Atlantic they’re hurricanes. All the same thing.
@@geekchick4859 I should clarify, I am aware of the precautions needed for all of those types of storms. My brother lives on the coast so definitely familiar with hurricanes. In the part of Georgia where I live we RARELY see hurricanes because we are far inland. So I don’t have to worry about making those type of preparations for a chicken coop. So although I know there are things you can do for preparations, I can’t share any advice on that being as I haven’t done it personally.
I wanna do this so bad but I don’t have any flat land on my property 😩
This type of coop does require semi flat land to operate well. Although our predator apron also helps in situations where the land isn't completely flat. Terrain is definitely a factor!
GOOD MORNING BEAUTIFUL WORK 🙌
You’d have to be able to build that big hulk of a thing. But I do agree you do t need anything fancy or expensive.

Okay so I need something like this as a greenhouse!!!❤❤❤
@@furryplantsandcoins9070 YES! It also works as a greenhouse! We are working on plans for one also, it’s only the inside and nesting box that changes.

Our ladies, we have 12, just started laying 18 weeks after we got them as iddy biddies. We have 4 different breeds- 2 Bielefelders, (Hilde and Inga)2 Golden Comets, (Margaret and Connie), 4Plymouth Barred Rocks, (Mable, Ada,Hazel and Alice) 4 Rhode Island Reds,(Hattie, Mae, Rose and Lottie). Our very first flock! Margaret and Connie matured faster than the others, so I suspect that they are the layers. 😊
@@lorijonerad857 Wow!! Laying at 18 weeks is fantastic! We have some new spring chicks that we added to our flock this year and we have one out of 14 that have started to lay. It’s one of our Dominques. We’ve been keeping chickens for years and that first egg feeling never gets old! I LOVE the names of your girls, so many good names! I’ve started to relinquish the naming as my 5 year old has become more “decisive” with names. We have some “interesting” ones now, but very heavy on the Disney themes! 😂
@@CottonRiverFarm Most of their names are my aunts and grandmas and my mom. We got four eggs yesterday! I sent the link to your blueprints to my husband. Hopefully we will be getting them soon ☺️ P. S. I am also a daughter of Jesus ❤️🙏🏻
@@lorijonerad857 I love that they are family names also. 🥰 Four eggs is awesome, especially for a newbie flock of layers!! Let me know if you have questions!! P.S. I am always happy to “meet” others that have chosen to live for the LORD. I am a fantastic chicken keeper, but the world of social media and building websites has a STEEP learning curve. I couldn’t have done any of it without His guidance and provision. 🙏🏻
if you put rabbits in there they could mow your lawn, too.
@@NoraToal We got my daughter a rabbit for her birthday about a month ago. We built a rabbit hutch for him. We are definitely still learning as this is a new animal for us! Our chickens do a great job of eating the weed seeds + improving the soil of our field, which we love!

Lovely morning to you💕I love the concept, chickens get to graze get their protein, are safe with the grills around the sides of the coop and get clean grounds ecerytime. They easily get rid of pesky incects for you.❤

Can live in it summer treat
@@beverlysmith2640 Our chickens live in this coop year round! The ventilation is perfect in summer! We do cover part of the end walls in clear tarp or plastic sheets to block direct wind in winter. Chickens do a great job of keeping themselves warm. The key is good ventilation while blocking the direct wind!

I just figure it you're gonna sell or charge people for the plans for this thing, it ought to be complete. Currently there are 3 or 4 things i have had to figure out on my own. Things not included in the blueprints or in the video. Overall its a great build but i would hope you might add these things to your plans 1. The need for penny nails 2. The need for wire 3. The need to tie the hardware cloth at the ends and in the middle of the arch. 4. When doing the 2 panel coop, the need to add an additional 2 ft wide hardware cloth section in the middle to full cover the panels. Again adding in how you would tie these sections together to secure them as one unit. Thanks
@@11hourpower41 All items mentioned are covered in the video. We do realize sometimes it’s easy to overlook when you are going through a build. We pride ourselves on responding to questions in a timely manner. Thank you for the feedback and will keep those points in mind for future build videos!
how would you go about winterizing this? Where I am in zone 7 it gets both above 95° and below -5° (F) my old coop we built up as a shed, with insulation and the like. And we kept heat lamps in there during the winter. Was just wondering about this because plastic is very thin haha
Somehow I missed this message! Most chicken breeds are cold hardy and really don't need our help to stay warm as long as they are protected from direct wind. They do a great job of fluffing up their feathers and trapping warm air against their body. We do add clear tarps or plastic sheeting on parts of the end walls to block direct wind. Ventilation is still important, even in the winter. You don't want to have a drastic difference in temperature between the outside and inside of the coop as it can shock their system. Increased humidity also increases the risk of frostbite on combs, wattles + toes. However, you can easily hang a radiant heater or heat lamp from the cattle panels if desired.
I want to keep chickens so badly (I lived on a huge farm growing up and we had tons of chickens, cows, goats, etc) but the people who live with me hate the idea of them. They act like they’re the ones who are going to be taking care of them when they literally don’t even go outside except to get their mail thinking about doing it anyways. If I can live with a rooster crowing every morning I can live with a bitchy roommate
@@meady50 We love our chickens and wish everyone could have them! That is what I love so much about the hoop coop, it really reduces the amount of time needed to care for and clean the coop. I don’t mind roosters at all, but I might not be the person to ask because I also don’t mind guineas! 😂 Have you considered quail? They have less space requirements and aren’t AS loud as chickens. It’s a much softer crow. Although they don’t tend to be as “personable” as chickens.
I love your enthusiasm! Not sure what I can do with any of this information, but it did make me smile :)

I think the volume of the music is fine, you can hear your voice clearly over it. It sounds like it does start to peak when you aren’t talking though , so it probably could be lowered a bit
