Baklava is Turkish Dolmadakia is Greek Yogurt is Greek Moussaka is literally the Greek national food And the one before moussaka is greek my favourite white sauce to put in my mouth I am greek and I respect Turkey and Turkish food and for the turks that say we stole "your" food, you stole our land. Last but not least you ruled over us for almost 400 years teaching us your culture, so don't be shocked when we use some of it in our culture

The funniest thing is always when the Turks say that these dishes belong to them😂😂😂But you do know that there is no such thing as a Turkish dish, right? You either got it from the Lebanese or the Kurds or the Armenians or the Georgians or the Arabs or the Egyptians or Algerians. What you sometimes sell as "Turkish" is funny in a different way.

Really important to note that you'll get much better prices at local markets. I bough ceramics and a rug in the little shops in Ankara and paid far less than in Cappadocia or Izmir. Another fun souvenir is a Turkish coffee set, though tea is by far the most popular drink in Turkey.
