The Glassic SQ2000 built by Joel Conard, heads to its new home in Novato for completion. Makes quite a sight when towed behind a 45' RV. As the SQ2000 is quite wide, you can see that it needs to be canted up to fit the roadway. Was actually quite easy as the fuselage was only 605# in this configuration.

      You could fit 10 if there were some kids. Not bad at all for 49'. Actually 11 if you sleep in the pilothouse too (I have done that). As a blue water ocean boat, the 515 is the king daddy. She is 'push button' for two sailing so the larger rig is easy. The Sparkman Stephens hull is both fast and way more sea kindly than the crazy beamy styles today. It would rate as one of the best 'full time' cruising boats out there.

    Hello Peter, I have a 1979 P-210N and about to install an Insight G2 engine monitor. Do you really fly lean of peak and what temperatures LOP are you, both cylinder and exhaust. How long have you been doing this? Thanks-you

    • @wolfgagger
      @wolfgagger 2 года назад

      LOP is fine ONLY with the correct engine monitor, that being said, you get massive efficiency gains from LOP at altitude on long X/C flights, your cruise will be slower but you will much less fuel, as long as you monitor your temps and make adjustments accordingly LOP operation is just fine, the big conts are a little more sensitive than the lycs

      The last few NC40's built in 1998 had the open galley/salon feature which debuted the following year in the NC42 that replaced them. This is my 3rd Nauticat and the open galley makes for an incredible perception of space (for such a small boat). Highly recommend.

    • @lelievre12
      @lelievre12 4 года назад

      Yes at 60% power and lightweight she will indicate around 145KIAS which is 156KTAS. To go faster you either need more altitude or more fuel. At 85% power I see around 175KTAS at the same altitude. Top speed is around 200KTAS at 17,500. This P210N is not as fast as some. It has a radar pod and tip tanks which add 3 feet to the wingspan.

    • @lelievre12
      @lelievre12 4 года назад

      @@farmerpilot The TSIO520P is temp limited on climb. If you look at Flightaware you will see I typically climb around 120KIAS at ~400FPM. Time to 16,500 is usually around 45 minutes. Not a rocket ship but engine stays cooler that way.

    • @kevinkramer1503

      that is the indicate airspeed on the airspeed indicator, the 176 is true airspeed which is airspeed corrected for nonstandard temperature.

    Fun to watch Peter - thanks for sharing this! My T210 feels like it needs 4000'+ strips to take off but I am often taking off full gross at 8000'+ density altitudes. Looks like a fun place to land - but I am still not sure of the takeoff though! ;)

    • @lelievre12
      @lelievre12 8 лет назад

      With a light plane the takeoff is remarkable uneventful. I dont think I would try it at full gross. I normally takeoff with low fuel then fillup straight away at Friday Harbor which is only 5 mins away. Here is a video I made of the takeoff and the run to KFHR for fuel. ruclips.net/video/EoVD8J9_Fi8/видео.html I like bush planes but the 210 really hauls long distances yet can mix it OK in these short strips.
