If the problem was that hextech made viktor to follow the Glorious evolution, why did he gave the rune to Jayce? I mean, without the rune, Jayce wouldn't be obsessed with magic and would never invent hextech, so victor couldn't perform the glorious evolution and end the world. Here's the thing, all three of them arrived in the AU exactly when they needed to for their character development to happen. So either AU Viktor knew what has to happen to everyone for the right events to happen (which doesn't like up with what he told jayce) and is the one who actually created the wild rune and controls it, sending everyone where they needed to go and when. Or the more likely answer plot armor placement, they need to be there and the writers are shit.
