Thanks! Yeah, I am trying to create that old school feel. Slow things down and make them somewhat realistic. Everything is edited with real footage. If not realistic, then something out of an old-school cartoon.
One thing I love about your videos is how they give the same vibe as the vintage Halloween sound effect cassettes and CDs from the 70s, 80s, and early 90s, which was the best era for Halloween. Those recordings are a comfort thing for me and have been since I was a kid
Haha thanks! Yeah I try to focus on atmosphere and tone for each video and try to create an experience. I know there’s a ton of other channels out there that do the same thing, but I don’t particularly like the A.I. look of those. I like to try to provide a “realistic” experience. Same as this old sound effects cassettes, they were so mood-setting as a kid.
how you do your jack o lanterns,like how do you clean and prevent they rot
I don’t do too much to prevent the rot. I’ll usually carve the pumpkin the day of the filming, unless I want a little wilting around the edges then I’ll carve it a day or two ahead of time. I will say the fairytale pumpkins are fairly hardy and it takes a long time for them to rot.
