can you take rental on ferry?
As far as I know, rental companies in PR don't allow rented cars to go on the islands. Locals can do it, and most of the ferry boats can carry cars.

I'd stay anywhere on the outskirts of Arecibo. There aren't a huge number of places to choose from, but we had no trouble finding a place we liked. If you have a rental car, I'd recommend choosing a place you like over a specific location.
Which Airbnb you guys stay
We stayed at #117 Villa Muñeco Nueva Extension, but anywhere on the same road on top of the hill will give you great views.

What about the Fajardo ferry?????
I can't really comment on the Fajardo ferry, since there was no credible information on-line about the existence of such a ferry, and any sporadic mentions of it were not favorable. The best way to get to the islands of Vieques and Culebra is by the ferries from Ceiba, and there is a great web site that lets you book tickets. Please watch my Puerto Rico Ferries video to learn all the details.

I went to vieques long time ago, and I love it. The good thing is that we don't need a passport to go there and the island is beautiful. I am watching this video and I can see that the island looks a lot better now. Thank you for sharing with us.

San Juan is cool but PR has so much more.. love the secluded paradise area like hidden beaches, waterfalls, and caves in central PR. Amazing island excursions. San Juan is always last day of the trip near the airport to unwind from real Pr.
I could not agree more! There is so much to see in Puerto Rico outside of San Juan. I already have some videos on other parts of Puerto Rico, and I will be posting a few more soon!

I heard they are routinely canceling tickets for nonresidents and ruining vacations
I haven't heard of this, and didn't see anyone experience it while I was there. (Unless, of course, you show up too late for your ferry time.) But, they seemed very accommodating to try to get you an alternate ferry based on availability. I still recommend booking ahead of time, and getting to the terminal well in advance (30 min) of your ferry departure.
This is a great video, especially for your first time. I do have a few corrections and notes though. It's sta Martha bay, not Santa Maria bay. Santa Maria is a neighborhood on the island. Someone already said it, but I agree, you missed the large blowhole at Watamula, or at the very least you didn't show it. The Visserij pronounced Vissurraaeey (It's Dutch for Fishery) Other places I would definitely recommend to visit if you want to spend time in nature are The blue Room, The Hato caves, Christoffel Park and Shete Boka (seven inlets) Park. If possible take a trip to Klein Curaçao for a nice day out at sea, bit on the expensive side, but a whole lot of fun (unless you get seasick easily). There is a new eatery around Caracasbaai called Pasawá which is full of ambience and great food selection. It's a food truck concept. The same concept is in Otrabanda called Bario, also an awesome place to have a bite at night. If you're in Otrabanda visit the Kurá Hulanda slavery museum and after have a walk in the Kurá hulanda area behind the museum. It's beautiful. All in all, a very enjoyable travel vlog, thanks for that.

From what I understand, there are no animals that can really harm you. I think the most dangerous animal there is the mosquito.

Great informative video! We are going in March. I am going to swim with the turtles and go to the KNIP beach to pet pigs. Plus I really want to visit the fish restaurant you mentioned. Thanks for the tips. Oh yeah and I'm going to go shopping at a supermarket. Keep up the travel.

How long was the ferry from the mainland to the island? I might have to fly and avoid getting seasick 🤮
Excellent question. The ferry to Culebra was about 90 minutes long and the ferry to Vieques about 60 minutes long.
Great video, did you bring your own snorkeling gear?
I would highly recommend that everyone brings their own snorkeling gear. Whenever I travel to the islands, I never leave home without it!

I made these, but subbed in turkey liver for the chicken. They were alright but way too stringy and a weird aftertaste. Not a fan.

Great video what is the best time of year to visit?
Curacao is one of those destinations that is great to visit any time of the year. We were there in the summer, and the benefit was that it was not as busy as it would be during the prime winter holiday season.

That was not watamula hole. Nice blow hole but I'm afraid you missed the big one. At least in your video.
Recipe: (Makes about 4 tacos / chicken breast. Average portion is about 3 tacos per person.) 1. Cut chicken breast into small pieces. 2. Season with 2 table spoons of soya sauce per chicken breast, 1-2 cloves of fresh garlic per chicken breast (or a liberal amount of garlic powder), 1/2 table spoon of sweet chili powder per chicken breast, add a pinch cayenne pepper or other seasoning. Can also season with pre-mixed taco or burrito seasoning. 3. Cook chicken on frying pan with a little bit of oil. If you make extra meat, store it cooked in fridge for up to a couple of days. 4. Use soft yellow corn tortilla shells. If the ones you buy keep burning or get brittle when cooking, switch brands. Not all taco shells are made the same, and choosing the correct ones makes a huge difference in the final taste. 5. On medium-low heat, oil one side of corn tortilla and place oil side down on frying pan. 6. Add cheese, meat, onions, tomatoes, guacamole, and whatever else you like in your tacos. 7. Cook until cheese starts melting, then fold tortilla while still soft. If you overcook the tortilla, it will start to harden and will be more difficult to fold. After folding, cook a little more until the shell slightly hardens in folded shape. 8. The shells will be crunchy, incredibly delicious, and won't break when you bite them! Enjoy!
