Into the mercy seat I climb My head is shaved, my head is wired And like a moth that tries To enter the bright eye So I go shuffling out of life Just to hide in death awhile And anyway I never lied.
It's hard to imagine any live music performance ever quite touching these heights. Barely controlled insanity delivered at the very edge of the soul. Scary. Beautiful. Courageous. If contemporary music ever ends up on the dock surely this will be the used in the defence's closing remarks.
I liked Rhydian because he was different. I wouldn't buy his album though and I definatly prefer people like Nick Cave. In fact Rhydian is the only person off the xfactor that i remember the name of.
i like cash's version, and i do like country so it's not a "yuk" to country music; but this is just spectacular, amazing to play loud (but then any good music is).
I agree its one thing thats bugged me about cash's version other than that I think he does the song justice but still that line is hard to overlook.I cringe whenever it gets to that part so I do not think your being picky
.
I had the dvd back in 2004 and this was my favourite 😊
Love from♥️❤️ ROTTERDAM THE NEDERLANDS
A beautiful lyric about the Kaporet
Thank you...you gou give my live a reason to live😆 better than original
I wish we could watch this performance on high quality.
Good music precedes good technology so... :)
This performance is from 2001, not 2003.
warren ellis es un puto genio
Cave was staggering when they finished. This has to be the best live performance of the song ever. Can't get better than this.

Forever Nick Cave's.
"плохие семена милосердия" или ?
An eye for an eye A tooth for a tooth And anyway I told the truth And I'm not afraid to die.

This has always been my favorite version of this song.
This particular performance of Mercy Seat is my favorite ever of Mr. Cave. Even more than the studio version.
