This reminds me of an old friend's most Jewish moment when he got me to paint a warhammer figure for him, we agreed to £25 which for comission painting the particular figure to the standard he wanted was basically nothing, so I do the work and meet up with him next week whilst we're out bowling to celebrate his and another friend's birthdays. When I jokingly ask for money up front before I hand him the figure he goes "what, pay money for my birthday present?" Despite the fact that I had already given him a birthday present alongside the joint celebration we were already doing. Complete asshole, dude had the money but tried to weasel his way out of paying me anyway, he also conveniently decided to cut me out his life with no explanation around the time my birthday was coming up so he didn't have to buy me a present. I also saw him at a supermarket a few years later and said hi to him just to be polite, and he completely blanked me like I didn't exist.
