I just wanted to make this video as I have a lot of clients ask about the HUD settings. if in the city you drive so far ahead from the parking place, then the car that was behind you can take your place and at the same time park backwards. If you drive so far ahead, no one will guess that you want to park in that free space
this type of parking is easy for anyone, its parallel parking that you need to show.
No problem! It’s actually the exact same procedure just pulling up to a parallel spot. It will sense that’s the only option and give you the exact same prompts. But I will consider that for the next video!
Thanks for the explanation. I am just speccing my new Cayenne and wondering if the high cost of HUD is worth it. To help decide, can you please kindly direct me to a list of all available info that can be displayed on the HUD?
Yeah absolutely. Porsche’s HUD consists of three different displays. You can choose between displaying just a digital speedometer, a sport chrono menu that will show you a lap timer as well, and a customizable menu that you can make your own. You can choose to have a digital speedometer, active lane keeping/assistance systems, turn by turn navigation, g force, speed sign recognition, and a few other options as well. If you’re thinking about resale, having a HUD will also add value to the car afterwards. And If you or a secondary driver ends up not liking the HUD you can easily turn it off.

Can the battery be removed from the key fob in order to deter against the vehicles key being cloned?
Sorry for the late response I just saw your comment. That isn’t really necessary but yes the battery can absolutely be removed in the key fobs. Another option is a faraday box. They are very common and a lot easier

Could I know what’s the difference between this feature and Remote park assistance?
Same feature! Remote Park Asist would allow you to pull the car out of parking spots via the My Porsche mobile app.

My Range Rover Evoque had this 8 years ago. I've used it 4 times😂
Other road users pulling their hair out while you take twice as long to park. Useful if you shouldn’t really be driving anyway.
Can it project Apple or Google maps Navigation?
Not yet! But that is something that is coming with the new PCM's. Macan EV and the new Taycans will have this feature!
booting into pcm engineering then rebooting is slightly better -- the quick reboot doesn't quite fix any major problems - especially when audio comes into play
