I will say this for any lance or gunlance mains. I have been a gunlance main for many years and while the fight is grueling it is possible. Here are some tips for the shields. 1: Shields are too slow to dodge the triple railgun. You have to keep your health above half to not be carted by it. 2: You cannot block the Nova, you gotta put your weapon away and Superman dodge through it. 3: When he stabs with his wing and then slashes you can actually get a hit in between the two. Just poke right after the stab finishes. 4: Dash Juice is not a must but it helps a lot. 5: Most importantly TAKE YOUR TIME. His combos are very long, yes but the fight can still be done while blocking all of it. Hope this helps.

Cartes on my first go, then watched a longsword speedrun video and was like “oh just draw your circle and counter literally everything” and honestly it worked super well for the first half to 2/3rds of the fight, until the 16 move combos where I was just running screaming for my life lol. I got him to 1500hp and then carted once on my second attempt and got So scared 😂 it’s always the supernova stun-lock that gets me.

I saw on some reddit page that when he's pissed like this, the best thing to do is run until he's done doing his combo. Personally it worked, but everyone's mileage will vary

It's easy once you know its pattern. It's unhittable during the combo but becomes open after, just consider the fight as Turn-based. The Hardest Monster in Monster Hunter History is MH World's Alatreon where it's impossible to kill if you don't switch Weapon element mid-fight to match its switched weakness unless you have strong Dragon Element due to DPS Check.

I’m a GS main and it honestly took me a few tries to finally beat him the first time. I added Evade Extender to my set then during his combo i would just keep my distance and dodge around until he tired himself out, it made the fight a whole lot easier.
